Stayed here for one night at the beginning of our week long trip to New York over the new year, plus a second night at the end.
Slightly perturbed no upgrade as a Marriott Gold, as the first room was teent tiny for three with the rollaway. The second stay we asked for the same floor as the lounge and were allocated a larger room which comfortably took the rollaway without the need to move all the furniture around!
On both occassions, the usual comfortable Marriott bed we have come to know and love, and the rooms were both comfortable and clean.
The lounge was pretty dismal. Horrible lighting, and on the frist stay a plague of locusts appeared to have desemated the food offering by 6:00pm when we went in, and we were advised that there was no replenishment due!
We ued the pool and found it perfect for an hour or so of splashing about with our 5 year son.
We ate room service for dinner on the second stay and found it excellent. Good portions, well cooked and delicious.
Promp service from the front desk when we found the iron wasn't working, and the bell was quick, efficient and loaded our bags swiftly onto the complimentary transfer bus to the terminals on departure.
Used their car service on arrval to take us to the city and found it a little pricey. Would use a different company next time around.
All in all, a very good stay, and would definitely stay here again should we fly in/out of Neewark.
Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing towards the airport, and at the end of the corridors - these tend to be larger.
