You really cannot get into this place. You can see it but you can't get there. Yes it is on Rts 1 and 9 but getting to the local version of routes 1 and 9 is near impossible- especially after dark.
So I called the front desk and they are used to guests being unable to find them. The VERY NICE guy at the front desk asked if I had a GPS ( I did) and told me to put in:
100 FRONTAGE ROAD.
And that sent me to a "T" intersection... to my left was the access to the LOCAL 1 and 9 and then I stayed on the phone with this very nice gentleman and he got me to the front door!

I was just here for a quick overnight, and didn't need anything special. When I walked into the lobby I was really taken by how bright and fresh it looked and felt. The woman who checked me in (Vanessa) went out of her way to be thorough and helpful, but was still efficient. When I asked her to recommend a taxi company, she arranged for my taxi pick-up the next morning instead - nice!

The room was typical - clean comfortable, excellent value for a 3-star property.

We recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn Newark Airport before flying out on an early morning flight. The Inn provides free parking for up to 14 days for guests who stay one night at either the beginning or end of their trip. We have taken advantage of this offer several times, and are never disappointed.

Check in: On this particular Saturday afternoon, the front desk staff person was occupied by what was turning out to be a lengthy conversation with a customer. Noticing us waiting, a staff person who was going home took off his coat and came to check us in. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty, but an act we sincerely appreciated. He was pleasant and efficient, and had us checked in and on our way to our room quickly.

Parking: There is a large fenced, controlled access parking lot at the hotel. Access to the lot is restricted by gates that are activated by a currently valid room key. We stayed at the beginning of our vacation, so when we returned we did not have a room key. No problem! The front desk staff waited for us to get our car, and then “buzzed” us through. Free parking up to 14 days, $15/day after that. A GREAT deal in the Newark area.

Rooms: the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows are comfortable, with nice bed linens. There is a desk to plug in the computer, and WiFi is provided at no extra charge. The bathroom is large, very clean, and complete with plenty of towels, and nice quality shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps. The room includes breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately we left so early we were unable to take advantage of this, though hubby was able to enjoy serviceable coffee even at 4 AM. There is an indoor pool, and an exercise room.

Shuttle service: Runs every half hour. This morning it was very punctual. The driver was pleasant and helpful, even at such an early hour. On our return the driver was equally pleasant and helpful.

We would definitely recommend the Fairfield Inn at Newark Airport to anyone who needs to stay either before or after a flight.

I stayed at this Marriott by the airport choosing it over a New York property because we had a late arival and the rate seememd very reasonable, so reasoable I had doubts it would meet my expectation. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, the bathroom was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Most suprisingly we looked out on the airport side and never heard a plane land or take off.
I took the free shuttle from the airport terminal to the hotel and checked in quickly. We (myself and two teenage daughters) went downstairs looking for a late dinner. The Italian restaurant looked good but a bit on the pricey side. We decided to try the bar/pub that allowed under age guests provided they did not consume alcohol. We ordered our food and although I thought a veggie burger, cobb salad, and flat crust pizza were still expensive - priced in the high teens everyone was very happy with their choices. Veggie burger was hand packed, best one ever. Cobb salad was very generous, very good. Pizza had a hand flipped crust and homemade sauce. After commenting to our server about how good the food was she informed us informed that all their food came from the Italian restuarant kitchen.
I would definetly stay here again and would consider staying there to avoid the high cost of hotels in New York and take the train in and out of the city.
