I certainly can't speak for all the rooms in the motel -- I saw there were one or two recent less-than-stellar reviews -- but our room on the second floor was sparkling clean and had apparently been refurbished. (The carpet and drapes were brand new.) About the only negative things I can say (and they are only mildly negative at that) is that the outside of the motel is nothing to look at, the view from the window was a house with boarded-up windows, and the sink stopper in the room didn't work. The motel itself isn't within walking distance of much of anything touristy -- welcome to Mt. Laurel -- but for lodgers traveling without a car, the Greyhound bus station is about 3/8 of a mile away on the same road (Fellowship Road), and an Avis rent-a-car facility is about 5/8 of a mile away at the Wyndham Hotel on Route 73. A Bob Evans restaurant is conveniently located about 200 yards from the motel. We took the bus from New York to the Mt. Laurel station, and I hoofed it from the bus station to the rent-a-car place, about a 10-minute walk. (If you intend to do the same thing, please note that you have to cross at exit and entrance ramps to the N.J. Turnpike. Visibility is good, and traffic lights on Route 73 control cars entering the Turnpike, but be careful!) We got a budget rate for a room with two queen size beds. When we checked in, the desk clerk, Ken, said, "You will be happy with this room, and you will want to stay again." He was correct about that; the room was much nicer than we expected for the price. The motel met my criteria: it was economical, clean and safe, and it was within walking distance of a restaurant and travel options (i.e., bus and rent-a-car). I would stay again!
