After reading the other reviews on Trip Advisor, I was really nervous about staying here, but it was where I needed to be. Fortunately, I was only looking for a place to sleep at night and shower in the morning.

The hotel shows serious signs of wear throughout - from the stains on the hallway carpets to the scratches on the guest room furniture. It also shows its age, since my bathroom had, still screwed into the tile on the wall, an old-fashioned metal bottle opener (I hate admitting that I'm old enough to know what it was!).

My room was clean. It included a microwave and fridge, desk, bed, extra chair, TV, and all of the usual amenities. The lighting was decent, and one of the things I appreciated was that the bathroom vanity had plenty of space for me to spread out my toiletries.

Staff at check-in was non-committal. I can't say I felt like I was a bother, but neither was I made to feel in any way that the agent was glad for me to be at the hotel. After having driven through rush-hour traffic in downtown Philly, a warm welcome would have gone a long way in making me feel like I could relax.

At check-out, the agent did ask how my stay was, but when I replied, "It was okay", was apparently satisfied that I didn't say "horrible" and didn't follow up. Apparently, with a hotel in the condition this one is in, "okay" is a compliment.

I did have an opportunity to see the hotel's banquet and meeting area. If you want to be inspired, check out the ladies room on the same floor by the meeting space. It was beee-uuu-ti-ful! It make me think that banquets and meetings might be the hotel's main source of revenue and business, because it was as lavish as the guest rooms were dull and boring.

If I absolutely had to stay in this area again, I'd probably stay here, partly because I didn't have a horrible experience and partly because there are negative reviews on Trip Advisor about all of the hotels in the area. Hopefully, I won't have to be in the area again!

I'm not hard to please at all, but this hotel was THE WORST and MOST DISGUSTING place I've ever had to spend weekend in. It smelled awful, like body odor, feet, and garbage. The walls and floors were filthy with actual garbage in the hallways. There was damage in the bathroom, the tv didn't work correctly, and the fitness room had four machines, three of which were broken. The smells would have done it for me, but the disappointments continued. Please find somewhere else to stay.

I have never had an issue with a Choice Hotel. I booked this room with my earned privileges points, based on location (near Philadelphia and nicer area of Cherry Hill, NJ) and the amenties/pictures/descriptions seen on the website. What we found was NOTHING like the advertising. The hotel was in disrepair. Including security issues with open doors to the outside, missing latches/locks, and our room door didn't latch very well and could easily be kicked in. There were stains on the walls, worn carpet, etc. After surveying everything, I promptly went to check-out and have my points credited back. They didn't give me a hard time about leaving (probably know that these complaints are true). Three days later I still do not see my points showing back on my account - but I will continue to monitor.

Stayed here with a friend for 2 nights....def. wouldn't do that again! The hotel security is unsafe. They leave their doors open until dark. Their wifi doesn't work. The breakfast "buffet" is 1/2 the size of what's on the website. Your view from your room is a shady, abandoned building that's all boarded up and had caution tape around it. The carpets are horrible and need to be removed so are all fixtures, curtains, etc. The staff was dressed unprofessional so you wouldn't even know they worked there. Their "gym" only had 1 treadmill that worked out of 4 pieces of equipment. I didn't want to walk around in the room with my bare feet or let my friend go downstairs without me in case she got stolen! The wallpaper was falling down everywhere, the bathroom was old and gross as well. There was no elevator so if you have lots of bags be ready for a hike! The pics on the website are not what you get! I would not recommend this place even if it was cheap!
