I really do have to sing the praises of this hotel. The staff are very – extremely – personable. Upon check-in, the desk clerk handed me a bottle of water. I thought it was a nice personal touch, rather than just finding it in the room. In the lobby, there was a buffet cheese crackers, crudités and bowl of fruit, which was also nice. (Of course, none of this is free.)
When I got up to the room, there was a animal made out of rolled up towels; cute.
There is ad fridge and cabinets to put your treats in, along with some surface space to put together your snack, coffee, etc. There’s a big space between the bureau and the desk in case you have a lot of stuff. Excellent TV; can swivel toward either bed or the coffee area if you want to watch whilst you iron. All very convenient.
Bathroom: very nice, fluffy towels, a fair amount of surface space for your personal body care items. Basic amenities: shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, decent brand. Only complaint: no shower cap. Don’t they know we put it on the TV remote to contain the germs?
Very clean. Carpet looks bright and new. Surfaces look like granite, classy. All design elements look like someone took a lot of care; and that they had good taste. Fair amount of desk space. Good ergo desk chair. Sitting chair also quite comfy.
Can control the vent and temp very well.
The bed has a feature where you can dial the hardness you want. I think this is overkill. It was set on "optimal" when I arrived and the mattress was very hard. I turned it down, and it was still hard. I suggest: start adjusting the bed from the moment you arrive, since it takes a while to adjust itself. Why not just have one good quality, comfortable mattress? Isn't there enough useless technology in our lives?
Located near a number of chain restaurants; probably your only option.
Breakfast, excellent, $12, for everything: hot breakfast: eggs bacon, buffet, real bagels, two different fruit salads; cottage cheese, yogurt (and plastic spoons), boxes of cereal, juice. But again: you are paying for it. But still: it was good. well lit, clean, comfortable quiet dining area.
All in all, this is a great semi-upscale road hotel. The typical creepy low ceiling is offset by the nice features I have listed above. It is somewhat pricey for what it is. Is it worth it? To me, yes. I have not seen an alternative between this and the less desirable places you might be forced to stay in on the road.
