This hotel is great. As soon as I walked thru the doors, the staff here made me feel so welcome. During my stay, I became family. If I am ever back in this area, there is no other option for me than to stay here. Rooms are spacy and very clean. Everything seemed like it just got renovated. Looks brandnew ;-) So go there and check it out for yourself.

I brought my entire cheerleading organization to the Howard Johnsons in Hammonton, NJ over 80 cheerleaders and their parents and I have to say this is probably the BEST hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Steve was so accommdating it was unbelievable. I travel to over 13 competitons each year that require hotel stays,and in all my 17 years of traveling with large squads I have never encountered such great service. My cheerleaders, their parents and I were so pleased with the service that we received that we will be staying again and again.

The first room I was assigned to the door lock did not work, second room the toilet was broken, third room no cable was hooked up and the fourth the bathroom vanity was falling off the wall; I was tired of changing rooms and complaining so stayed in a room with no bathroom light and the entire place unacceptable. Mouse droppings were in the bathroom so it could not have been cleaned very well since last guest.

I stayed at this hotel twice in one week, having a break in the middle to visit a friend.

The first room I was given was terrible in terms of cleanliness. There were cobwebs over the lamps and the walls/ceiling. Dust/grime along a ledge in the bathroom. There was a contact lens in the bathroom and worst of all, hairs in the bed! The sheets were clean on but I had to pick about 12 hairs out of them, which looked to be either dog or cat. There was also an orange stain on the sheets.

As I checked into this room very late,after a day of travelling, I didn't have the energy to complain and ask for another room, and I was leaving the next day anyway. When I checked out, I did list the above for the front desk clerk, who said she would inform the manager.

When I next returned to the hotel (my booking was already made) after visiting my friend, the next room I was given was much better, with only cobwebs around the ceiling and behind the door.

In terms of the rooms themselves, everything was fine, the beds were super comfy and all the things in the room worked and I had no issues with them. The breakfast was also nice.

I appreciate that the hotel is only a one and half star rating, but cleanliness should be of a high priority, no matter what rating.

I will not be staying here again.
