I wanted to go to the jersey shore Labor Day weekend and decided to book at Econo Lodge. Motel and hotels closer to the beach were priced at $300 a night. This place was only $80 a night. I booked this room at least 2 weeks in advance. My friend told me that a few days after I booked, the price went up to $140 a night. The location is approximately 20 mins away from Point Pleasant and 15 mins from Belmar beach. For how much I paid, the room was a good deal. The beds were comfy and everything looked pretty clean. I recommend this place again if you don't want to pay ridiculous amount for the jersey shore.

I've stayed at this Econolodge a few times, both business and pleasure (close to my clients, close to the shore). It's a nice place. It's clean. It's reasonably priced. The owners are on site working and taking care of their business, and it shows. This is not the Hotel Sofitel, nor does it pretend to be. It's a clean place where you can actually sleep comfortably and where you can walk around your room barefoot without worrying. Reading some of the other reviews I am wondering if they are talking about the same place (boogers on the floor? really?)

The room was good enough for us 4 girls to spend a weekend down the shore. It was clean and spacious and the bathroom was big enough. The AC worked just fine and it met the needs we needed for our one night stay. It was only a 15 min ride to the beach and a much better deal then anything closer to the beach. Would stay again if I wanted a quick weekend down the shore.

What a dirty place, We spent $20 on Lysol for the dirty, smelly carpet and the air filter in the AC. The refrigerator was in a cabinet and it was so full of ice in the freezer section, nothing could fit in. There is only one ice machine in the office. Would it hurt to buy toilet seat covers for the rooms? The shower head was ancient and just drizzled out and made it difficult to rinse the soap off your body. The rates changed for Sat. and Sun. doubled Why? I guess I should have Known better when checking in when we observed an exterminator truck for bed bugs in the parking lot. When I inquired the front desk laughed and said they were just doing a monthly inspection. AS dirty and smelly as the room was bugs should soon follow. Oh Yeah I almost forgot to mention the BOOGERS my wife found on the bathroom floor. I do mean PU
