It's always better when a Hampton has more amenities than normal in the room. In my case, the King with sofabed room had a microwave and refrigerator. One gets tired of eating only in restaurants, so it's great to have the option of bringing food back to the room, relaxing in front of the flat screen TV and maybe enjoying a glass of chilled wine :-) I did not need to be near Newark Airport, but I can see the benefit of this property being so close. The breakfast area was set up differently than most Hamptons. There was a separate room where the food and beverages were put out and then other comfortable eating areas separated. It was nice not to have other guests constantly walking back and forth with food. This is definitely an older property, but they appear to be maintaining it well.

Typical non-suite Hampton. Perfectly fine for my situation, arrive late night, fly out the next morning.

Check in was fast and efficient...The lobby was very 'normal', and while the hallways seemed a bit dated and dingy, it all went away when I walked in the room. Room was clean and comfy. Seems recently updated--was actually impressed by the bathroom--it had a new faucet, decent tub and newer countertop. Flat-panel TV, a good looking sofa that I never actually sat on. Bed was typically comfy as are all Hilton Family properties.

I will say the walls were a little thin, I could hear the TV in the room next to mine without even being that close to the wall. Good thing I travel with earplugs.

Breakfast was good, although the selections were a little drained by the time I got down there close to the end time.

We came to NJ so we could spend New Year's Eve in Times Square. This hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable and inexpensive stay. Close to the airport, friendly staff and a great breakfast every morning. The shuttle drivers were very nice, especially Ramon. He gave us maps of NYC and bus schedules. He also gave us advice on how to get to NYC by taking the bus and Path, which saved us a lot of money. The rooms were very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here the next time I have to come to NYC.

I stayed here twice over the space of a week while doing some traveling, it is located close to newark airport, very easy to get to with the free shuttle, as traveling alone i was a bit worried how easy it would be to get to the hotel but i didn't have to wait long to be picked up by the shuttle. The room was clean and breakfast the next day was better than expected particular the make your own waffles. on my second visit received a nice little welcome back card in the room with snacks and bottled water, the only negative is there isn't anywhere to eat in the hotel and the area surrounding the hotel isn't too good/safe either i had a friend staying in the hilton next door which was near impossible to get to on foot as the hotels are located off the interstate. kindly the hotel shuttle dropped me off. Getting to NYC is easy by getting the shuttle to the airport P4 stop then using the airtrain and NJ transit, takes about 30 mins to penn station. I had a late flight that day and reception kindly offered a 2pm check out.
would recommend as a cheap place to stopover while traveling in and out of Newark airport.
