Call hotel directly for best price. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. Rooms rough and in need of lots of minor repairs but adequate, unless you're fussy. I was happy due to great (half) price of competition.

I stayed here while visiting friends during the holiday season. The property is still in the process of being renovated, but my room was clean, comfortable, and homey. The complimentary continental (no meats, no eggs) breakfast was also above par, as there was a decent assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, and even hot waffles available. The concierge and staff were friendly and professional, across the board. The free WiFi never failed, and the fridge in my room was a really nice bonus. It IS a little tricky getting around in this area if you don't have a car. Public transit is available, but not always reliable. If you have access to a car, then no problem at all. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel.

The property should be rated average but because it's under renovation it's coming along so it's rated very good. It has some work to be done from the Spring-Summer storm Atlantic City had earlier in the year 2011. It is close to the Shore Mall. It is near a shopping center. Last, it close by Pistol Petes, Golden Coral, TGIFridays, and Cheech Brothers Italian Cruisine. The hotel staff are friendly and pleasant. There are a bundle of restaurant coupons. The Tropicana Casino shuttle operates on Fridays and Saturdays in the afternoons. Yes, FREE casino shuttle services. First stay at hotel was Thanksgiving weekend. Second stay will be this weekend New Years Eve. Did I forget the hot breakfast which includes hot-WAFFLES and other goodies. No, it is not a 5-star but a 2.5 star soon to be 3-4 star. I booked a room here for one night through Hotwire. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor I was expecting the worst. However, I was completely satisfied with the service and the room. The woman who checked me in was very pleasant and professional. The room was basic, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also nice to have a little refrigerator in the room. I had no issues whatsoever with my stay and would stay there again. The property is close to Atlantic City and there are plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. If you're on a budget, it's a good option.
