I *tried* to stay at the RRI in Edison NJ. Cheap price, dog friendly. That's where the good news ends. The receptionist fit every NJ stereotype: big hair, curt and unsmiling. The manager, Bill, was friendly, but helpless.
We were placed in a room in which neither the lights nor toilet worked. Next one, no coffee maker. The receptionist told me, abruptly, "No coffee makers in that building. It's close to the office so you can come here for coffee." Really??
Eventually left without a hassle getting refund. I guess there's a reason it's so cheap.
Room Tip: Go to a different property.

Dear bach4me, I certainly do appreciate you taking the time to write a review of the Edison Red Roof Inn. I understand the situation you encountered with the lack of lights and poorly working toilet must have been very frustrating for you; I looked into your concerns at length and I was able to determine where our follow through broke down. Also I did note that the room you requested does not normally come with a coffee maker but all of our Superior King Size rooms do, in addition to the larger work space and complimentary local and long distance phone calls. Bach4me, we are growing and learning with each review that is posted and we regard feedback such as yours as a gift; we are committed to enhancing our service to better assist our guests in the future and input like yours will certainly help us to get there faster.
