so, after camping for 4 days, i couldn't wait to continue my vacation and sleep in an actual bed. well, i got to the hotel and went to check in. the price was more than expedia had said it would be. i tried to explain this to the guy who was working the desk, and he got mad at me and started to speak louder and more rudely to me basically saying...too bad, it is what it is. i was too tired to deal with it, and decided to talk to them again tomorrow. preferably somebody nicer than him. we got to the room. the back door that was right next to the parking lot didn't work, and we had to walk around to the other side. when we got into the room, the faucet was dripping all night, there was some weird blue stuff caked onto the blanket, the light above the mirror was hardly working, and the light fixture next t my side of the bad was practically hanging off the wall and wouldn't turn on, and the people upstairs sounded like elephants. we went to sleep, and in the morning i went to get the free breakfast which consisted of a couple donuts, some cereal (no milk left) and there was one banana left. there was a girl in there and she asked (the same guy from the night before) if anything else came with the breakfast. he said what? (there was a language barrier), she asked...is there any french toast, pancakes, anything? he ignored her. she got mad...another guy behind the desk said that he didn't understand because of the language barrier, and she said...he should have said he didn't understand instead of just ignoring me. she was very angry, righfully so. anyway, the rest of the stay wasn't too bad. the afternoon girl was much more helpful in explaining that there are 3 taxes on hotels in nj and sometimes expedia doesn't include that in their total. she gave good directions for my destination for that night. so, i checked out on tuesday morning. fastforward to thurs morning at work. i went onto my bank account online. not only did they charge me the price for the room, but they put in a 2nd charge for $68.94. i have no idea what that is for. i tried to call them for 3 days. the guy i talked to the first day said he would check with someone and call me back and never did. i called the next day. the girl i talked to said she would call me back in a couple of hours. she didn't and i called back again. she said she would call me right back. she called back a couple hours later and said they have no record of this charge, and i need to contest it with my bank. so...almost a week after checking out, i'm still down $70 for a charge that i shouldn't have, plus a $35 overdraft fee from my bank. i may just have to eat this $105...or else the bank said they'd put a fraud charge in...crystal inn sucks!!!!!!
