... They have. As of 2/1/12, this hotel received 215 Very Good and Excellent reviews and 121 reviews that were deemed "Terrible, poor and average." Using this equation, 2 out of every 3 people who have stayed here and reviewed their experience on tripadvisor have really enjoyed their stay at Sheraton Meadowlands. I wrote a review a few weeks ago about this place, how I stayed here for 5 months and really enjoyed the staff, especially Lynn Woods who is your "in" at the hotel if you ever need anything extra. I was about ready to move into my own apartment when a deal fell through. Looking at different options in hotels across the area, I decided to go back to the Sheraton Meadowlands for a quick 10 days until my next apartment would be ready. I was wondering if people would give me the same level of treatment I had received when I initially stayed here - and the answer is shockingly: No. Instead of being treated as a long term guest at the hotel, I was treated like I was a first class guest. Anything and everything that could have been given to me, I got. Before I even arrived at the hotel, Julie at the front desk knew I was coming and arranged for a King sized room for me. Lynn Woods, as so many people have commented about her on here, was once again happy to oblige to any request I had. One night my computer's wifi went kaput and the hotel's "Link" system was down overnight for upgrades so they night manager Leyla let me use one of the computers at the front desk so I could access my e-mail account and print out a critical document. Amber, Ann-Marie, George and many other of the wait staff were happy to see me and instantly knew what I wanted to eat before I even ordered it. And after taking a cursoary look at their menu, I saw they added quite a few items that help give you nutritional information and advice when you're ordering. They also added new dishes to the menu, which I was happy to sample. I highly recommend the shrimp with garlic and tomato sauce. How nice is it that you don't have to find some place else to eat and that the chefs in the kitchen of this hotel know how to prepare the most delicious dishes. Even as I pulled up in my car, the valet people at the front entrance of the hotel recognized me and immediately jumped to help me - and I've never tipped them before! They weren't doing it to earn a few bucks for themselves, they were doing it because well, I actually needed the help. I told them ahead of time that I couldn't tip them - and it was irrelevant to them. They just wanted to help and did so. I loved the service, the rooms were always huge compared to other hotel rooms in and around NYC, a restaurant, a starbucks, a bar... but what I loved the most was, I was always 10 minutes away from the city. All I had to do was hop on a shuttle bus which took me to the train station and from there I went right into Penn Station, which is in the heart of NYC and I'm doing this all for $159 a night. I mean, if I went into the city I would be spending at least $40-$50 more a night, be spending more money in taxes and fees because it's NYC, and the rooms would be much smaller. The people that work here from Jessica and Natalie at the front desk, to Lynn Woods, to the restaurant waiters and waitresses, to the valet people who are on their feet all day helping people with their luggage who are fresh from a multi-hour flight... Everyone here works and works hard. I know where I'll be staying come the Superbowl in 2014 (did I mention this hotel was right across the street from the stadium where the Superbowl Champion Giants and Jets play??) By the way - when I decided to stay here again, I learned that management prints and posts these reviews for the employees of the hotel to read. The good, the bad and ugly. So for whoever is reading this letter at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel and Conference Center: Thank you.
Room Tip: The burger here is the best burger in NJ! Ask for Lynn Woods!

Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to share your experience. I am really pleased to hear that you enjoyed yet another visit to the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel & Conference Center, and felt as well taken care of this time as you did last time.
While what you say about the number of reviews is true, the equally frustrating thing for a hotelier is that (as a society) we seem so much more likely to provide negative feedback rather than positive, thus skewing the results of a site like this. I do not mind the negative feedback, as a matter of fact I welcome it; I just wish that more of the folks who utilize this site to gather information for an upcoming trip would then use it to post their positive experiences, along with the negative ones, after their visit. I also wish these sites did not keep reviews dating back for years, (2004 in our case); things change.
As you mentioned, we do post these reviews for all of the staff to see/review, and this one will be no exception. I will make sure it gets posted and shared w/ Julie, Lynn, Leyla, Amber, Ann-Marie, George, Jessica, Natalie and the rest of the team.
Thanks again for the feedback. We hope to see you again soon (under better circumstances!).
