Howard Johnson's would be ashame to have their name associated with this hotel. The Shower drain was clogged and management stated the service tech would not be in that day. The carpets in the hallway as well as the rooms were dirty, The elevator dirty, the smell in the hallway unclean, The door locks were ALL broken, you didn't need your key to enter the side doors. Spend an extra $5.00 and go elsewhere,

Stayed at this location for three nights. The hotel easy to find when driving from NYC, you just keep on driving straight from the Lincoln Tunnel. I had ready earlier what to expect, as the only reason I book this hotel was the price - 32 USD for for two double beds. The check in was quickly done by the stuff which had problems speaking english. The carpets in the whole hotel were old and dirty, that included the room also. Our room was on the second floor, overlooking the parking. The beds were comfortable, I did not have trouble sleeping, nor did I see any bags in the room. The bathroom had a bath with, while standing in it, you could almost touch the celling with your head. There was definitly some mold around the sanitaries. The tv worked perfectly, There was a large balcony with one plastic seat. The window lock was broken and could not close it correctly. As the room faced the parking, at night I had woken up several times. The swimming pool was out of water, devastated. There are vending machines on the halls near stairs. The price was adequate to the quality. In the radius of 1 mile you can find several places you could eat out, including: TGI Friday's and even cosher deli.

Recently stayed at this hotel due to the freak storm in NNJ. Booked a double room wit 2 double beds. They claim the rooms have been renovated but both beds were absolutely the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on, you literally rolled to the center of the bed. I gather they neglected to replace the beds during the "renovations".
They tub also needed to cleaned or replaced as it was discolored or dirty.
Better hotels 10min. away at the Meadowlands.

I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR THE SAME REASON MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE.... THE PRICE. BUT SERIOUSLY, IT IS NOT WORTH EVEN A DIME! When I went to check in, the front desk manager did not eve want to give me the time of day. The men staff members where real rude! Upon arrival I had a horrible feeling from the very beginning when i called to confirm my reservation and they failed to say my name correctly, I politely corrected them and the person on the other end said ok whatever! They didn't even want to acknowledge my presence when I went to check in. He threw the key and license on the counter and looked at me and said umm you're done! so I replied to his comment with umm no! U have my credit card! And he ddnt even want to tell me where my room was! The room was comfortable but the bathroom was horrible! There was a big hole in the wall and the home hotel is like a mobile building! Its the same material as a mobile home. the tv didnt work properly either! I had to get up and manually turn it on and change the channels because when the remote turns on the tv, it would have static channels and it wouldnt change the cable box channels. I also went with a baby and the 4th floor smelled like marijuana! I surely learned my lesson! Never again will I use a Howard Johnson!
