As I detrained from Amtrak on a lengthly trip from Old Saybrook to Trenton, the snowfall on the 26th of January stranded me in the Cinnaminson area with no transportation for me to get to my Starwood property on Route 73. I was forced to walk two miles with luggage and checked into the Apollo Motel. The $69.00 rate was not negociable (as I was the only guest there) and was admitted into room 2. There was no heat ( the radiator was off) and the room was freezing cold. I asked to have my rate modified but I was rudely told no. The owners are Indian and could only care for their next dollar. The bathroom had one bar of soap, one face towel, which smelled horrible and was dirty. In addition, the bathroom was twenty degress colder than the room. As the night progressed, I realized that I was unable to get to my property destination and was forced to stay another day. Promptly at 11:00 am on the second day I was asked for additional money for that day (understandably). There was no table lamp, and the lighting was fluorescent which lit the room as bright as an emergency room in a hospital. There was a condom wrapper inside the drawer, and believe this; the pillows were backings from an old couch covered with a pillowcase. The room was infused with cigarette smoke. I am not sure how this property can remain in business, but I can clearly see that accommodations are rented on a hourly basis. I had a horrible expreience. Please, guests, never stay there. Thank you.
