We camp often, and this is the first time we've been to BTL. Pros= Plenty of activities for the children, free coffee in the morning, a good size swimming pool, available canoeing, and mini golf. Cons= The staff was not helpful, and very rude when we asked for anything (we locked our keys in the car and they were so iritated that we asked for a wire coat hanger). We stayed in a cabin and it was very costly, there was no refridgerator, no microwave, no tv (even if you bring your own you have to bring a cable too or they charge $10 per night to rent one!) - we have stayed in cabins that have all of these ammenities. There were so any biting flies due to the pond aka stagnant water right behind us I had 64 bites the first night we were there (yes, I counted them in the shower!). They said the pool was heated - it wasn't. Guests are charged top dollar to visit but there was no room for them to park at our site. The sites are very small and close together. The bathrooms are very unclean. You are charged for showers which are as cold as hose water for the first half and then scalding hot the next. OVERALL the kids had so much fun, but the flies and the nickle and diming were outrageous!!!
