My husband and I just returned from our 3 night stay at the Fairthorne Cottage Bed and Breakfast. This was our very first experience at a B&B and it won't be our last. Thanks to Innkeepers/Owners Diane and Ed, we had a delightful time. Terrific accomodations, scrumptious breakfasts, and such outstanding hospitality. We stayed in the Emma-Kate Suite. Great size room and bath, bonus sitting room. Loved it! Front porch with rocking chairs, so very relaxing anytime of day. Afternoon tea and snacks which we looked forward to each day. Terrific location - we could walk or bike to where ever we wanted to go. We planned to go back.

My hubby & I took a short break from the everyday stress of reality and had a wonderful time at The Fairthorne Cottage Bed & Breakfast. The host and hostess were charming and answered all of our questions of were to eat & what to see in Cape May.

Upon our arrival we were greeted & felt special. We were served cookies,salsa, chips & other goodies.
The next morning we had a yummy breakfast on the wrap around porch. We were served french toast and fresh fruit. There was hot coffee( regular and decaff) and hot tea (regular and decaff) Fresh orange juice and other juices.

We also, enjoyed the town the inn is close to shopping. We also, took a sight seiing ride on the tour bus and learned the history of Cape May.

This was our first visit to Cape May and our stay at the Fairthorne only made the experience nicer! Ed and Diane are wonderful hosts; very warm and welcoming; always helpful. Our suite, the Emma/Kate, was extremely comfortable, spacious and inviting. A definite plus is the location: 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from shops and restaurants, and in the middle of the historic district. Despite the closeness of all of that, the inn was quiet and restful. Diane's breakfasts were great: fresh and filling! (No dieting here!) Loved the amenity of having your own beach chairs and towels at the ready -- no need to pack them! We were so thrilled with our stay that we immediately booked another one as soon as we returned home.

The rooms are nicely decorated (not to frou frou), amenities perfect, hosts extremely gracious, bed so comfortable, location wonderful. A very, very nice getaway. Parking is a definite plus.
