“Good Location, Beautiful Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We stayed in Cape May for New Years Eve. Most B&B's had a two night minimum and we only wanted to stay one night, but was told if we bought tickets to Elaine's Dinner Theatre, we would be able to stay one night, so we did that. (We were not crazy about the dinner theatre, but I wrote a separate review for that). We stayed in room nine and it was decorated beautifully! It had a gorgeous wood carved 1/2 canopy bed (though it was small - a double, I think) and the room had very nice little "touches" in the room - gorgeous pillows, lamps, etc.

The B&B is in a great location, one block from the Washington Street mall and two blocks from the beach. They also have on site parking. If it was summer, I might want to get a hotel right on Beach Avenue, rather than a B&B, but Cape May is nice in all seasons.

The breakfast service was not that great. We had to wait awhile for someone to acknowledge that we were there, but I had heard the usual person who served was away, so it may have been a fluke.

Room Tip: Room 9 is on the third floor. Its a gorgeous room, but if you are not in good shape, you might want...

“Loved our stay here--highly recommended!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here for New Years Eve. We went to the New Years Eve dinner and show. Which was amazing!!! We loved our room! ( room 4 ) It was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. Just so comfy and cozy!! It was the best night sleep I had in a long time. We didn't want to leave. The staff are all so very nice, friendly and helpful. Truly nice people! And the breakfast was so very, very good. We really felt at home here. We're looking forward to our next stay here.

“Wonderful Christmas week in Cape May!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Fun get away the day after Christmas! Fantastic location, beautiful Christmas decorations, the Scrooge show was hysterical, loved it! My husband and I traveled with 2 of our daughter's (18 & 22) they could walk everywhere and I was happy with the selection of stores on the mall that were still open. We all enjoyed the food, both the breakfast and dinner selections. Service was excellent and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable and inviting.

“Romantic Getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

Elaine's has old world charm and decor with the convenience of pristine, modern bathrooms.
It is set in a quiet location though just a block away from the Cape May Mall. We enjoyed reading and relaxing on the sunny second floor porch. The breakfasts are very yummy :) The staff is so friendly, we felt like family. Can't wait to go back!

“LOVED IT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

We spent a couple of days in Cape May and decided to book Elaine's B+B. We were pleasantly surprised at what wonderful accommodations we had. The bedroom (room 6) on the second floor was simply lovely. The furniture, lamps, etc; were beautiful. The full bathroom (no sharing down the hall here!) was nicely decorated even down to the night lite! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to park free and walk everywhere as it is right in the heart of everything. The breakfast was really good, from the homemade breads and cold buffet to the wonderful hot entree and coffee. Sadly, there was not a show the time we were there, but I have enjoyed seeing their shows on previous occasions. It is great entertainment and should not be missed. We enjoyed sitting on the sun porch and outside porch in the afternoon and evening when we had time. Our friends stayed at a local hotel there and even liked our accommodations better than theirs! We usually prefer hotels; but Elaine's B&B is calling us back. We would definitely stay here again and again when we are in Cape May.

Room Tip: Check out the photos of the different rooms and ask about them when making your reservation. I reall...
