We were very satisfied with our stay due, in large part, to Barbara, who greeted and managed guests while we were there. Put simply, she has a lovely and engaging personality, and was attentive, responsive, and genuinely accomodating. The rooms were small, but comfortable and loaded with Victorian charm. The Bacchus provides more amenities than we've seen at comparable B&B's in Cape May: beach chairs, beach bags, beach towels, bicycles w/ locks, small library of books, large selection of dvd's, 4pm wine and cheese refreshment, and 24hr coffee availability. The reserved parking which is included with many rooms is a huge plus during the busy summer season. John, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable about the local restaurants and attractions. Not only could he recommend a restaurant, but he could detail its menu. The close proximity to the beach and the Washington pedestrian mall made tours and shopping very convenient. Moreover, the Bacchus Inn is located on a street which houses many other B&B's, so the area was very scenic and safe. Contrary to all past experiences with B&B breakfasts, the morning meal at the Bacchus was DELICIOUS. From the pastries to the main dish, we were happily impressed.
