“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We stayed here recently and honestly can not say enough good things about The Bacchus Inn.  From the warm greeting when we arrived to the great conversation during breakfast.  Everything was fantastic.  The room we stayed in was comfortable and very attractive.  The breakfasts were amazing - better than any other bed and breakfast that we have stayed at in the past.  It really will be hard staying anywhere else from now on without comparing everything to The Bacchus Inn.  We will definitely be back!

“Superb Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

We were very satisfied with our stay due, in large part, to Barbara, who greeted and managed guests while we were there. Put simply, she has a lovely and engaging personality, and was attentive, responsive, and genuinely accomodating. The rooms were small, but comfortable and loaded with Victorian charm. The Bacchus provides more amenities than we've seen at comparable B&B's in Cape May: beach chairs, beach bags, beach towels, bicycles w/ locks, small library of books, large selection of dvd's, 4pm wine and cheese refreshment, and 24hr coffee availability. The reserved parking which is included with many rooms is a huge plus during the busy summer season. John, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable about the local restaurants and attractions. Not only could he recommend a restaurant, but he could detail its menu. The close proximity to the beach and the Washington pedestrian mall made tours and shopping very convenient. Moreover, the Bacchus Inn is located on a street which houses many other B&B's, so the area was very scenic and safe. Contrary to all past experiences with B&B breakfasts, the morning meal at the Bacchus was DELICIOUS. From the pastries to the main dish, we were happily impressed.

“Bacchus Inn in September”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

This was our 4th year staying at The Bacchus Inn. Room, food and hospitality were great! We have been in 3 different rooms and all have their unique qualities. I love the afternoon cookies, wine and cheese and also the people we meet while enjoying those refreshments on the porch. I particularly like having bikes available to use. It is also convenient to have the beach chairs and towels. Location is excellent. Breakfast is consistently very tasty. John is always a great host!

The owners are great, location and service outstanding, and the afternoon wine and cheese is generous and enjoyable. We loved having the bikes available to use. Just a little better coffee would be great.

“Warm Hospitality and Attention to Details”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

My wife and I stayed at the Bacchus Inn for our 25th wedding anniversary this past week. The warm and generous hospitality of our innkeepers John and Lisa contributed significantly to our celebration. We are very appreciative for all of their kindness. We both work in service related professions that require attention to details. Because of our work, we recognize that John and Lisa attend to countless details behind the scene as well to ensure that their guests have a very pleasurable experience. The many amenities of the Bacchus Inn also contributed to our wonderful visit – especially the wine and cheese gatherings with the other guests on the porch in the late afternoon. Thank you John and Lisa!
