“Our favorite B&B in Cape May!! The best!”

Service & warm hospitality is top rate at the Bacchus Inn. Premo location & ammenities! We've been coming for years, and every time it's still great! Super location, walk to beach, best front porch around with big rocking chairs. One of the few with Wine & cheese at tea time, plus goodies! Inn Keepers John & Lisa always have time to stop & chat or fill you in on the best restaraunts in town and out. Bikes, chairs, beach bags w/towels are included too. All rooms have a/c and the breakfasts in the morning are unbelievable! Larger rooms/suites have parking - a huge plus for Cape May. Beautiful Victorian home with a wonderful rich history. Every room is gorgeous, even the smaller ones. Note, we usually do stay in one of the deluxe rooms w/private bath and King bed.

Room Tip: We like room 5 and room 8

“Lovely Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

We love Cape May and visit yearly. Our trip to the Bacchus Inn was a Christmas gift. It's a lovely inn with a great location. The innkeepers, John and Lisa are very nice and interesting people. The wine and snack hour at 3 is a great time to chat with fellow guests. They also give you a breakfast choice the day before which is nice instead of having to go at a certain time and having no clue what to expect. Both of our breakfasts were delicious. They also have beach chairs and bikes to borrow which makes traveling a little lighter. Give them a try, you won't be dissapointed.

“What a Fantastic Time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

My wife came to me in April with the thought of going to a Bed and Breakfast in Cape May. We hae traveled to Cape May before but only for a day visit and were facinated by the atmosphere. Well just looking around on line she came across the Bacchus Inn and read off the description and I was in.

When we arrived we were greated by John who was not hesitant to showing us around and helping us get settled in. We were very suprised by our accomdiations (The Burgandy Room) it was fantastic, clean and comfortable. We were given a run down of the area by John and presented with a menu for breakfast which by the way was nothing short of awesome.

During the day we were treated to a wine tasting in the afternoon and great company as well. We met some fun couples who were staying at the inn which made the trip even more enjoyable.

If you are looking for a get away I highly recommend this establishment. John and Lisa provide a fantastic atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy being away from it all.

All I can say is Thanks to John and Lisa for providing another vacation that my wife and I will truly remember!

“We will be back ... again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2010

My wife and I stay at The Bacchus Inn several years ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we have not been back to Cape May since. This last summer we decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary in Cape May and stay with John and Lisa at the Bacchus. It was better than what we had remembered. The breakfasts were delicious and the wine and cheese was a lot of fun. It gave us an opportunity to meet some of the other guests and John gave restaurant recommendations and made dinner reservations for us.

We stayed in room #9, a suite on the first floor. We loved how spacious the room was and the modern amenities, including the whirlpool tub. This room is in the main house, but we went across the street to the other building to play billiards before dinner. Both houses are very nice. We noticed right away many improvements to both houses since our last visit, including the new paint job of the main house. It is very obvious that John and Lisa are always working on these houses.

We could not have asked for a better time and we will definetly be back to The Bacchus Inn ... again and again.
