We've been here for a long weekend each summer for the last 3 years. All of the cape may hotels are overpriced and this is too. Remember they only take cash when you arrive! I am always in the lobby when someone forgets and has to drive to town to an atm before they can check-in. We like the location -- far enough from the noise but close enough to walk to things and right across from the beach. Our kids like the pool. The grounds are always well kept and pretty. The rooms are like old beach motor lodge rooms. They are clean but very, very .... very basic. Old linens, carpet is worn, sofas and tables are old/cheap motel. However, all of that said I'd go back again b/c we don't go to cape may to hang out in the room. Someone wrote a review about the ocean view and what that means. I completely agree. I'd clarify when you make a reservation what they mean about ocean view, ocean facing, etc. We had a problem with that once when our "view" was only from a balcony when you faced a certain way. (That was the year I swore I wouldn't go back but then I did b/c I learned my lesson.ha). Anyway, the long/short of it is that this is a beach motor lodge that is much nicer on the outside than it is on the inside. It's good for families and couples but not singles or groups of singles. It's clean. It's not fancy. The people at the front desk have always been nice enough to us. (I don't like that they insist on cash but then also require a credit card just in case. If they want cash then keep it at that -- i understand it's their little insurance policy but seems like they want their cake and eat it too.)
