“Simply Charming!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

My husband & I have have stayed in about 15 B&Bs in Cape May since 2004.

We particularly like to visit during the 1st/2nd week of December to enjoy the Victorian Christmas Decor, the tours and events during this time.

This year I selected the Bayberry because of the great location. You can walk to all the stores, shops and restaurant being only a few blocks away from everything.

We arrived on Friday and left on Monday and didn't use the car at all!

The Christmas Parade- first Saturday in December, came directly in front of the Bayberry- what a great spot! Homemade delicious chile and hot cider was available to the guests and what a delight since the evening was so cold.

Our accommodations far exceeded the pics on the internet! We had a comfortable and spacious suite with the quietest whirlpool tub I had ever been in... and impeccably clean!!!

Our breakfasts were simply divine!!!! We left the table stuffed and content with the great tasting food. Toby was very considerate in inquiring about any likes/dislikes for breakfast.

We had the most enjoyable time talking with other quests while we dined.

Everything was perfect!!!! The Bayberry Inn is definitely a B&B we will return next year!

Thanks Andy & Toby for a delightful experience!

“Clean, comfortable and sufficient.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

We spent the weekend at the hotel and found the owners helpful and kind. Breakfast at a large table with all the other guests at 9am was delicious and well-prepared. Both my friend and I remarked, however, that the atmosphere was not quite the relaxed and welcoming place we had hoped for. This is partly due to the layout of the main part of the house which is not really conducive to lounging and relaxing. It felt a bit formal. The inn is well-located to the beach, town and restaurants.

“A relaxing trip to the victorian seaside”

I recently took my two daughters 12 and 9 to Cape May for a relaxing getaway from a pending divorce. We chose the Bayberry Inn due to its proximity to the ocean and the fact that they are one of the few Bed and Breakfasts that allow children under 12. Our stay there met and exceeded our expectations. Andy and Toby were very gracious hosts and their home was impeccably neat and tidy. The home was beautifully furnished in period Victorian furniture and decor and is one short block from the center of action which is the washington pedestrian mall. A big bonus was on-site parking which is rare in Cape May and there is virtually no convenient street parking anywhere. Also, there were nice perks ; beach chairs and towels were provided, there was free bottled water for the taking, DVD player and LCD TV, and nice sitting areas throughout the home. The breakfasts were delicious to myself and older daughter. However some of the breakfast entrees (i.e. spicy omelette) were too "adult" for my younger daughters limitted palate. A minor issue as usually fruit and a muffin or such was also served. We were just happy that small children were allowed to stay there. Our room was extremely comfortable and functional. There are numerous spectacular restaurants within easy walking distance. There are alot of things to do in Cape May aside from going to a spectacular beach. We especially enjoyed the free movie night on the beach, the mini-golf, ghost tale trolley rides, horse and buggy history tour, and pleasant shopping. Overall, our vacation was wonderful and I would recommend the Bayberry Inn very highly to anyone planning a trip to Cape May.

Andy and Toby, the proprietors, were perfect models of friendliness and kind hospitality throughout our visit. The accommodations were exquisite, the food scrumptious, the service delightful, and the mood tranquil. We thank them for making our stay in Cape May so pleasant, and offer our best wishes their continued success in their labor of love at the Bayberry Inn.
