Last minute surprise for my 55th birthday, my boyfriend and I ventured to Brigantine as we were staying at Legacy Resorts the third week of August wtih the kids and wanted to check out the area. The last minute we booked a one bedroom suite at La Sammana. The suite is gorgeous with one and half baths and upgraded beautifully. However, the roof top pool looks like a jacuzzi and I can't recommend for kids unless you are completely beach people, however you get a complete view of AC, bay and the beach. It is about a block and a half away from the beach and only 10 minutes from AC. Brigantine is a quiet little town that is lovely but yet so close to AC so if you prefer to get away from the crowds o fAC but yet you can easily get there, then this town is for you. La Sammana is nicer than any AC hotel unless you are a huge gambler and they comp you

we went for a concert and just needed a place to sleep. very nice area/room and thank god it was away from the casinos.

My husband and I just returned from 4th of July weekend at La Sammana. This was our 2nd time staying here and we really enjoy Brinantine. The rooms are very modern and the staff is wonderful. The location is very good ad there is off street parking - which is a big plus at the shore in the summer.

They could do a few things that would make a big difference. The roof top sun deck is the only real common area and has great views, but it is only open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. This is really a shame because we would have like to have had our coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening on the deck and enjoyed the views. This really negatively impacted our experience.

Also, know that he pool is very small. With 2 kids playing it seemed overcrowded and not a place for adults to relax. There is also no shade on the roof - umbrellas or an over hang of some kind would have made it a more comfortable place to relax.

Overall, this is a good place and we will stay again.

My friends and I went to this resort for a long weekend. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly. Our suite was immaculate and the bedrooms were large, each with its own private bathroom. One thing I did not like at all was having to pay a $65.00 "housekeeping fee" since we were not there for a full week. Apparently if you are there for a full week you don't have to pay the fee. This seems like a rip off to me. The hallways were very hot and so was the suite, so we had to put the air conditioners on even though it was the third week in March. We did like that the resort was not in Atlantic City, but it was only about a 10 to 15 minute drive away from it. They do have a free shuttle to the Borgata which is nice since getting in and out of the Borgata's parking lot driving your own car is a hassle. Lori, front desk staff, recommended The Pirate's Den restaurant on Brigantine Island to us. We went there for dinner one night and for breakfast one morning. Very cozy place with good food!
