On the way home from NY to GA, my poor family thought Momma was never gonna let them get a hotel--everywhere we tried was so HIGH. This hotel's halls DID smell like cigarette smoke, but the rooms were spacious and clean--but most of all, affordable!

Good value. Pros: Inexpensive, clean, quiet rooms, free newspapers, friendly staff.

Cons: Non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke drifiting from accross the hall (on multiple nights), outdoor pool was rather small, cheap rubbery blankets (we pulled them off and just used the bed spread), all equipment in exercise room was broken (except for situp bench), fan from A/C turns off when A/C cycled off (a problem if you use the fan noise to help you sleep like I do), limited TV channels, shortage of clean towels on our first night, highway location was inconvenient (difficult to get to many local attractions), widescreen TV in lobby not adjusted correctly (picture was stretched out), litter remained in staircase throughout our 3 night stay.

Oveall impression: Could be a very nice, small hotel if management paid more attention to details.

As a frequent user of Choice Hotels properties up and down the east coast, I found this property well below par for a 'Comfort Inn'. The staff seemed oblivious to comings and goings, although the second floor maid was very attentive upon check in. Generally the place was dirty,especially the elevator and the doorway area closest to the pool entryway. The room furniture was worn, found a dead roach in the chest of drawers under the TV. Could not understand having non smoking rooms adjacent to smoking rooms, the odor carries!!! Without a doubt I would not stay at this property again.

On the good side, The staff was polite. Room was clean.
Bad side, Continental breakfest not good' could say it was bad. (And I'm not pickey about food) Surrounding area in back of hotel looked very questionable. I would not feel safe after dark outside.
I would try another location if I have to return to that area again.
By the way- Trenton NJ area has the worst roads/highways I've ever driven on. I'll never complain about the capital beltway 495 or south 95 in VA again.
