A few years ago, I wrote a review on The Morning Dove Inn with a similar title. A recent Fourth of July weekend stay only confirms my and my girlfriend's high regard for Innkeeper Carol Lee, and her beautiful Bed & Breakfast by the sea.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The gourmet breakfasts are delicious. You'll OD on the French Toast!
The place is just perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend or week by the shore. The beach is a half block away. If you want a break from the beach, sit on the porch in this quiet neighborhood overlooking beautiful Silver Lake.
Great restaurants are within walking distance. This was our 10 stay and we will return.

We have stayed at the Morning Dove Inn several times. We enjoy the atmosphere and comfort like being in our own home. The Inn is steps from the beach and the front rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. You can walk to town for a delicious meal or to shop. Near by towns have plenty to offer. Have met other guests that return several times a year for a getaway to the shore. The rooms are clean and inviting. The livingroom and solarium and front and back proches offer places to go to just relax and read or visit with others. Carol Lee is very welcoming and helpful and always available if needed. Breakfast offers a variety of treats and the service is great. Your coffee cup is always full. Afternoon refreshments offer dove shaped cookies and brownies with iced tea and lemonade ... a yummy afternoon treat. Water, sodas and coffee are always available. Information is provided about local happenings or you can play a game or enjoy a good book from the solarium shelves. I too will make the Morning Dove Inn my home away from home.

We stay at a lot of B&B's for pleasure and business. TV in our room was the size of a postage stamp. Early Sears late basement decor. rooms are large and near the ocean but much too expensive for what you get. We wouldn't go back. Owner is in your face. owner pinches pennies with the utilities - when we were there it was colder inside than out.

my wife and i had spent a few nights at the inn, Carol Lee has done a wonderful job in all service areas and comfort factors.
the rooms where decorated in the proper shore / b and b fashion. herself and her staff where very coordial. her attention to the most minor details was far from lacking. over all this is a quaint place that i would recommend travelers to the area stay. her knowledge of the area and ability to provide historical data was very imperssive. breakfast was always fresh and delightful. reds where comfy and inviting. bathroom where spacious and soaps and shampoos where provided. very very accomodating. she is also able to make reservations at local area hotspots, and her taste in food will guide you to exciting places with-in and neighboring towns. all you have to do is ask her, she will help you.
