“Absolutely Wonderful!”

I would like to say that Sea Village Apartments holds a special place in our hearts! Last August we needed to cancel our reservations at Sea Village when our daughter unexpectedly was hospitalized. The owners felt so badly for our situation that they did everything they could to enable us to squeeze in a few days before the start of school. Since we were sometimes unable to speak with them from our hospital room, they were kind enough to work with my mother as a liaison! They truly cared! Aside from their treating us like family, their place is so close to the beach and very homey..It was exactly the "medicine" that we needed! We will definitely be returning year after year!

“Total Disappointment!”

Read the good reviews here and was optimistic. While the price was right, the accommodations were sorely lacking. I felt like I had walked into a time warp to the 1960's, which is apparently the last time they put a dime into this place. The grounds were overgrown and shabby which should have been the first clue of what was to come My teenage son suggested that I should not pay the balance of our reservation until we saw the room. I should have listened. The inside of our cottage was dilapidated, smelled musty and was totally off-putting. We were totally disappointed, so we politely offered to pay for one of our two nights that we had reserved along with some constructive criticism. This caused the owner to launch into a tirade that made us very uncomfortable. We left and sought new lodging, but were charged the full price for two nights. Word to the wise - don't make the same mistake we did. STAY AWAY!!!!

“Sea Village Apartments...L.B.I., Beach Haven, NJ”

While staying at Lorraine and Gerry's "place at the beach", you will stay in a quaint, clean and cozy apartment. After a long, lazy day at the beach, you can rinse off outside, turn the grill on and get the steaks and lobsters ready in your own kitchen. The patio is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs which makes for a laarge, private courtyard. Being at the south end of Beach Haven, the beach is less crowded, yet still very close to everything to see and do.

"We've been going to Long Beach Island for over fifty years and after finding Lorraine and Gerry's "place at the beach" almost ten years ago, we know it's like home for us and will always come back"!

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable, vary in size. All on a quiet, family-neighborhood street.

“Part Hotel, Part Beach House, Best of Both Worlds. Plus Great Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

We just finished a long stay during the oppressive heat. Sea Village was just perfect! It is unique because it is part hotel (place to sleep), part beach house (place to make full meals and hang out in private) and vintage "Jersey Shore." Because we had a kitchen and full fridge, (not just a coffee pot, microwave & dinky fridge) we saved a ton of money by not eating out. Enough to stay another week, seriously. The restaurants in Beach Haven are mostly good, but a dinner sets the 2 of us back $30+ if we go cheap and much more if we eat ok (like not from the children's menu). No waiting to get a table!- which was every night at every restaurant the past 2 weeks - and the kitchen and BBQ grill gave us a great option. In the morning we sat in a chair outside our room with coffee. The place is set up so well we didn't even know other people did the same thing. The courtyard has the right mix of privacy by the door and sun and shade during the course of day. Our 2 bedroom room was spacious with two separate bedrooms with doors (so my visiting son can sleep in), a living area that takes in a sea breeze, the worlds most powerful shower and a separate kitchen. Each night we grilled steaks, ate fresh corn and Jersey tomatoes and took it easy. Nearby Murphys Market actually has fresh fruit/veggies "imported'" from the mainland.
I have said for years that a person's personal Jersey Shore experience is defined by the block and the beach access & entrance. Sea Village is a hundred or so steps away from the beach, the only motel in a 6+ block area of summer and year round residents. Google Earth "Fairview Ave Beach Haven" and see for yourself (you will also see a beach road with great bike lanes too.) The owners have done a good job filtering out party types. They are super friendly, accomodating and live on the property. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. All the stuff about connecting to a time from the past is true about the place, but for me the value is real and the relaxation happens automatically. What I liked best was the atmosphere of relaxation that overcame me when I was there. What I liked least was leaving.

We enjoyed a great beach vacation on one of the prettiest streets on LBI. Good place to stay with famiies-the owners were more than accommodating to our family. They provided warm hospitality and gave great suggestions for dinner and activities. The apartment we stayed in was clean and neat and cozy and had everything we needed including a full kitchen and grills and a quiet picnic area. Very close to the beach and bay. The evenings were especially 'chill' and other clientele like ourselves-just there to enjoy the beach, family and friends. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Call and reserve with a deposit EARLY!
