“Best in the Valley”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Went for a Hockey Tournament. The rest of the team stayed in a run down glorified college dorm rooms near the skating rink. We were very glad we stayed here. It was quiet and nice as well as less expensive. Breakfast buffet was homemade and staff were very attentive to our needs. The happy hour was nice touch with wine and cheese. Passes to the very well run health club made the sub zero temperatures feel better. We planned to ski but it was too cold. They have a ski storage area inside.

Room Tip: all are good.

“Affordable comfort!”

My family and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Silver Fox Inn in Waterville Valley, NH. We were very pleased with our room and the Inn itself. The Inn was clean and comfortable with a very friendly and accommodating staff. I loved that there was a ski room right off of the entry way of the hotel. This is essential if you don't want to wake up to cold boots, and frozen skis! The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices - my favorite was the home made blueberry muffins! Hot coffee and hot chocolate were available all day long in the kitchen if you wanted it. We also enjoyed the after skiing treat of wine, cheese, cookies and crackers. Our room was a good size, with two comfortable beds. I would recommend that the Inn invest in some different fitted sheets though, as ours kept slipping off the mattress during the night. However, this is hardly any big deal, as the sheets were nice and clean! The bathroom was clean and tidy as well, although it was a bit small. Again, no big deal, because the staff kept it clean for us. We would definitely come back and stay at this Inn again.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay. As a long time skier myself, I know just what you mean about cold, icy boots and skis in the morning and that's why I put the ski room where it is. And those blueberry muffins are darn good aren't then? Come back and see us again please.

Absolutely fab. Stayed in one of the lower level rooms, quiet, clean and perfect. The team there were great, helping plan one of our days out. Great location. Would definitely stay there again. Not skiers just enjoying the area. Stopped for 3 days en route to Acadia. Two couples 60-70 & 50-45 from U.k

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your kind words. I hope you enjoyed Acadia. It's truly one of the most beautiful areas in the Northeast. It is the first place in the US where you can see the sun rise, from the top of Cadillac mountain. Please visit us again if you find yourself on this side of the pond in the future.

“Clean, beautiful views, hot breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Contrary to some other reviews, I thought this hotel was well maintained and updated well. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was home-made and hot each morning! The deck with a view of the valley was a beautiful and relaxing place to sip a cup of coffee. The innkeepers were very nice and helpful. My only complaint, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars, was we found our room to be a bit noisy. I think because we were so close to the lobby, that contributed to the noise level. However, the on-site laundry was nice and the location was great.

Room Tip: Request a room on the second floor, I think they may be quieter.

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments. The view from the deck off the breakfast room is one of the most popular spots at the Inn. Winter, summer or fall, the views of the mountain make for quite a dramatic backdrop for your morning coffee or a glass of wine at our evening social. We hope you come back to see us again soon.
