we booked this place for a Christmas ski trip: 3 adults and 3 kids (9, 8, 4). It far exceeded our expectations! we are all extremely happy for the 3 nights there. Daily cleaning was great! we definitely will go back again (with ski packages if could) next time.

We just stayed over Thanksgiving weekend with our 2 kids, 7 & 10 year old, and we all had a great time! Our room was clean and the kids slept on the pull down Murphy bed. Condo size (1 br- can sleep 6) was good for our family of 4, but would be tight for a family of 6 (had a trundle in master). The lobby had 2 fireplace areas, and a common room, that we visited frequently for the free hot chocolate & coffee. We spent the majority of our late afternoons swimming in the pool, which we found clean, with plenty of seating. The pool area overall was in great shape. We would definitely come again. The only down side of this trip was that WV wasn't fully open until today and today was our drive home day.

My husband & I have stayed here on several occassions & have had a pleasant stay each time. The lobby has been beautifully renovated, the grounds are well kept & the rooms we have stayed in were lovely. We always request a nice room as there are updated rooms available. I also recommend viewing the rooms before renting as no two rooms are alike. The staff is very friendly & was always helpful with our needs. Daily housekeeping is great & kept our room spotless. There's a wide variety of outdoor activities that will keep you busy in an amazing country setting, the views are breathtaking. There's even a beach within walking distance behind the building which was great, who doesn't love the beach! Overall we always have an amazing time here & plan to continue staying at this resort.

We had the best experience at the Golden Eagle, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The reviews here had me a bit worried, but we had a great room, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful!
When we arrived, the TV in the first room didn't work. We thought about just using the TV from the bedroom, but I called down to the desk to see if they could do anything. Since it was late in the day, maintenance couldn't come until the next day. Kay at the front desk was AWESOME and offered to move us to one of two rooms. She let me look at the room above us which was perfect, and we had a wonderful spot to hang our hats. Kay was also great to let me use the "quiet room" for adults when i needed a little alone time. Husband and kids used the summer passes to access the Athletic Center across the street and use the top of the line pools. Town center was a rock's throw away. We had to leave after two nights, but i would love to return. Facilities were great, staff was great and I couldn't ask for more!
