We stayed here because it was convenient to where we were headed, the price was very reasonable and I often use La Quintas as we nearly always travel with our beloved dog.
The location was fine, and the Holiday Inn across the street has a decent Mexican restaurant which was convenient after a long drive. We arrived to an inauspicious start, we checked in after 4 PM and it took 45 minutes for our room to be ready. I was not overly impressed with that, although we were not overly upset about it. The check-in itself was handled well and the staff was always polite and friendly (rare these days).
The room itself was OK, the bed was substandard but survivable, seemed a little 'U' shaped, so we rolled into each other during the night and it did not have a lot of support.
My only real complaint would that there was an obnoxiously loud group in the next room on Saturday night, obviously having a party (a loud chorus of 'Happy Birthday' at around 1 AM definitely confirmed that!) and we complained to the front desk who promised to go to the room to speak to them but no one did anything. We had to be up at 6 AM to drive home and it was a bit of a problem. I serenaded them with a few polite doors slams while taking our luggage down, certainly hope I didn't disturb them (NOT!).
I would stay there again, and while I wish that the front desk would have reacted to our noise complaint I fully realize that the hotel did not cause the problem. As I have noticed with La Quinta's lately, the breakfast selection was mediocre and basically unchanging over the 3 days that we were there. There was adequate food, just nothing interesting - the only hot food available was waffles.
With a AARP discount (can't believe that I am old enough to qualify...) the room was under $60 a night, which is nearly unheard of today - from a value standpoint I thought it was great.
