We have been staying in this place for about a month while we looked for a permanent place in the area. As with any other place which has weekly rates as well as daily rates, you have the few long term residents who lack respect and common courtesy towards neighbors (most likely why they do not live in a complex). However, despite the handful of long term residents that may or may not lack common decency, the grounds, the staff, and management are truly spectacular.
I have been to the office on almost a daily basis to get some coffee and donuts during morning hours and a couple of cups of OJ. While other reviewers complain about it not being a true "breakfast", It saves most of us a trip to the local Dunkin' Donuts on the way to work/school AND it's included in the price of a room.
My only complaint, if any, is the free Wi-Fi system in place. While I understand why they stopped having open WIFI (people who were not guest would sit in parking lot and steal the WiFi), I think a better solution would be to have regular secured wi-fi and just provide registered guests with the password. The Wi-Fi cards handed out are only good for a week and if you stay here longer you have to bother the front desk for new ones every week. Also, if you like me and have kids, they each need one for their Ipod's and other gadgets and the front desk only hands out 2 at a time.
I myself have a nook and an IPOD as well as a mini laptop, and can only use 2 at a time.
My husband and my daughter each have their own IPODs and I cannot use my own gadgets because I have to share my internet cards with them. Also, the Fusion Hotspot logs you off randomly so if you are playing games over wi-fi on your gadget, it will stop in the middle of a game.
As for noisy and disruptive neighbors, I have spoken to the Office about it when it has happened and they were truly great about following up with me and speaking with the persons involved. I have never received such great personalized service from any hotel or long term stay facility. The housekeeping staff is SUPERB and even though I have had different ones here and there, they are all equally great. They make sure that every room is serviced at LEAST every other day and they always ask you what you need, as opposed to just assuming. Truly great and friendly personnel in housekeeping and the front office.
It is also great that they have a computer and printer in the office for guests to use. While they need to update the software on the computer for intermediate use (flash, adobe reader, office, etc) it works great to print out reservations, emails or other internet based forms you may need. The office staff goes above and beyond to make sure you can print or use whatever program you need to.
Everything you could ever need is well within walking distance. Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree, Bank of America, 2 Market Baskets, Marshalls, Fast Food, Barnes & Noble, Rockingham Mall and I-93 are literally a few steps away. There is even a Salvation Army Thrift store nearby! Great location for anything and everything. Makes commuting to Boston quick and easy!
Our leaving is truly bittersweet, as we will be happy to move into our own place, with our own things, but we will miss the awesome staff and surroundings of the hidden gem.
Thanks so much for everything!
