Escaped to the Anchorage while our power was out. Room was clean, breakfast with a waffle machine was pretty good, and the pool, while small, had adult only hours from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Some noise travels between floors and rooms, but it didn't disturb our sleep. There is a policy of quiet hours.
We checked prices at the nearby hotels before settling on the Anchorage because the staff was so friendly while coping with an influx of guests who had no power at home. Had we known about the microwave and fridge we could have brought food from our defrosting fridge at home.
The staff encouraged our visit to a supermarket a mile or so down the street and a fellow guest who lived locally confirmed that the RoundAbout restaurant within view of the motel would fed us well...which it did in a diner setting.
