We came upon Under the Elm by happy accident as we took a spontaneous long weekend trip from Montreal and down New England. When night fell, we asked the GPS in the car to lead us to nearby lodging, and after a few false starts, we arrived in the courtyard at Under the Elm. We couldn't have dreamed of anything better! The location is magnificently picturesque and breathtakingly beautiful, and the rooms, house and property is lovingly and gorgeously decorated and well kept. We only stayed one night, but the warm welcome we received from our gracious hosts made us want to return immediately.

“Wonderful stay in New Hampshire”

My husband and I stayed at Under The Elm in August 2011. We easily found our place there! The inn hosts warmly welcomed us and showed us to a comfortable room that was large, relaxing, and private. My favorite space was on the outdoor deck, under the elm, where I could read a book and watch the wild life pass through the back yard. Of course, there was no shortage of available activities with hiking, mountain biking, swimming, beach combing and kayaking nearby. Highly recommend this wonderfully experience!

Under the Elm was perfect. Breakfast was great, rooms were cozy, couldn't ask for more!

Stayed at the Under the Elm Bed and Breakfast in Central NH last fall. It was peaceful and quiet. Good area for walks and close to Bow Lake. We would stay here again if in NH.
