“Great location, atmosphere but above all..restaurants!!”

My wife and I drove from mass to lincoln nh to enjoy valentines day at loon mountain. We opted for a fireplace room with in room hot tub and refrigerator to keep our champgne cool which we then enjoyed in the hot tub :-). The gentleman at the check in was at first a bit stressed and irritable which was a bad look, but throughout our stay he redeemed himself with friendlier service. Included with our room was an all day pass able to be used everyday, to the presidents club at loon. It included sauna, indoor pool, gym, but best of all..hot tub outside on the side of the mountain!

The restaurants were both phenomenal for dinner where we enjoyed our valentines day dinner at the fancier of the two with lobster main courses and sides, bottle of wine from an acceptable selection, and great desert. The brewery restaurant was fun and had great food with big portions and of course great beer. While being a brewery I commend them on still being an excellent family restaurant..very clean and upbeat atmosphere. Out door firepits too that you can bring your beer out to!

Breakfast was to die for and included in the room price! My wife had the most gigantic lobster omlette on earth with an unbelivable amount of lobster meat in it.

Overall an excellent four days (usually requires a 3 or 4 day minimum stay). We absolutly would love to return.

“not the best inn”

We stayed at the inn while snowboarding in the area. It's 30-45 minutes south of Bretton Woods and a few minutes from Cannon & Loon. It's also directly across the street from Woodstock Brewery which is nice. You get a very nice hot breakfast included in the price. You can basically order whatever you want from the regular breakfast menu. So that is very nice. And rooms are nice enough but a bit small. The thing that bothered me was that you can hear everyone else around you, a little too well. For that reason, I would not bother staying there again. But if you're not picky about that, it's kind of a fun place to stay.

“Amazing B&B experience- can't wait to return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

Our stay at the Woodstock Inn was incredibly memorable. We stayed in to the Cascade Lodge (rustic, mountain decor) which was full of hand-hewn log furniture and animal sculptures from birch wood. A comfortable couch next to a fireplace in the living room made for a great place to read and enjoy wine or coffee. Room ("Squirrel's Nest- $99) was cozy, but not cramped, and had a nice jacuzzi tub for two in the bathroom. The log bed frame and entertainment center were beautiful. Some may call it kitschy, but we thought it was perfect and even artistic. Nice flat screen TV, but could've used an S-video cable for the DVD player hookup- the RCA plugs made for a terrible picture when watching DVDs. Still, nice that there is a player! The bed was comfy and we had a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker in the closet.
Brewery and restaurant were fun. Every sip and bite at dinner was delicious. Nice sampler of 5 brews, gorgonzola dip made with veggies and pale ale, frog legs, pulled pork mac and cheese-mmm! The staff was helpful- the waitress wasn't a charmer, but got the job done well. There was karaoke after 9 with a lot of locals on a Tuesday night. Pretty fun if that's your thing.
The front desk guy was also quite willing to help with questions about the spa at The Mountain Club (to which guests have access), connecting to wifi, and lighting the fireplace for us.
Full menu breakfast for two (Seafood omelettes and steak, coffee, juice, sticky bun, toast, home fries) is top-notch and included (except tip) in our $100 total! A delicious bargain! Can't wait to come back and relax and eat like a king again!

Our favorite things about the visit- The Cascade Lodge's charm, hot tub on the ski slope at The Mountain Club, Jacuzzi in our room, walking around Woodstock, amazing breakfast

The room for improvement- The DVD player hookup into the HDTV was low quality RCA plugs. The fireplace window was black and you almost couldn't see the fire. Still, I give the experience and value a 5-star rating.

Great location. Near the interstate, a few other restaurants and gift shops. Beautiful forest surrounds you! Get out in nature and enjoy it.

Room Tip: Cascade Lodge- interior entrance was nice, but maybe a little less private. Take advantage of the l...
