“Good Hotel - well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Good hotel and well located, especially for shopping!! Lovely big rooms, which makes a change when skiing..We had a jacuzzi in ours, a steal at an extraq £80 for the week...Luxury... Well thought of hotel for active holidays both winter and summer..Really good outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, though be brave running out in snow before getting in to the lovely heated water.. A wood fire pit burning nearby...Breakfast bit sketchy, some days better than others, with a lovely waitress (who i didnt get name of but has a bob haircut!!) However, not impressed with the restaurant in the vening, plastic food and waitress in a rush, we ended up the only ones using the place all night!!! too many good restaurants in town i am afraid...who was very helpful and so polite, but there again all Conway people are.. Loved the area and loved the people. So much we are booking to go back to North conway next year... The shopping out lets are a bonus and the hubby loved the Hilfiger store, couldnt get him out of it....
All in all very well central to all ski resorts, Cranmore, Loone, Wild Cat to mention a few...
hot Choclate, cider and cookies every day 4/6pm...

Room Tip: Try for a jacuzzi room 4th floor...

“friendly and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

This hotel has a good mix of stuff to make you feel wanted and let you enjoy yourself. The welcome includes hot cocoa, cider and home made cookies. There are two sets of pool and hot tub. One indoors and the other outdoors. Both were great, but the outdoor one was really hard to get out of because the warm water felt so good with the cold air blowing over your head. The hotel shares its location with the Settler's Green outlet and the deals post christmas were not to be beat! The rooms are comfortable clean and up to date. The restaurant had a huge spread for breakfast that included everything you could want for one reasonable price and kids eat free. My kid must have eaten a pound of bacon. Overall, a very good place to stay. Friendly and offering all the stuff you need for a fun filled vacation. I highly reccomend.

Room Tip: We picked up on a trip advisor traveller tip and chose adjoining rooms which were really convenient...

“Everything was "grand"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Just returned from a skiing trip to New Hampshire USA. Stayed at the Grand Hotel for 11 night - 21 Jan to 1st Feb. We had a very enjoyable stay and could not find fault at any level with both staff and accomodation. The hotel was very well maintained. The rooms were large enough to accomodate a family. New installed HD flat screened TVs were in situ and the rooms were kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping. staff. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful and gave good advice on what to do to pass the time on "no ski" days. Breakfast was buffet style and generous. Also, Cookies and hot cider/chocolate for apres ski. Hotel is adjacent to Settlers Green OUtlet shopping mall, so great for retail therapy ! All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay.

I would like to add that any UK visitors who may be skiing in the area would need to choose their lift pass carefully. Ours covered the 5 mountains of Cranmore, Cannon, Loon, Wildcat and Waterville. However, depending on where you stay, at least 2 of these will be too far away to travel to. Might be better just to buy lift passes as and when you decide which mountains to ski.

Room Tip: Ask foir a room on one of the upper floors to get a good few of the mountains.

“The highlight of our trip”

I stayed in this hotel in the beginning of june 2011 together with my wife and two kids. We rented a room with 2 double queens. We all had a wonderful time. It's a "grand hotel" in any meaning possible. The inside pool is large and clean just like the outside pool. Dinner in the hotel is very good, as well as the breakfast. Staff is very competent and friendly. The outlet shopping mall will save you a lot of money if you can spare the time to take a look. I would recommend this hotel a 100%!

“what more could you want?”

The north conway grand hotel is an excellent home base for a ski weekend. We checked in to the hotel early and there was complimentary hot cocoa in the lobby and homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for guests checking in that afternoon and returning from a day on the slopes. Nice touch. The guest rooms are large and modern. I also really liked that they had a lounge where you could get a good cold draft beer, a truly great burger and watch the playoff games on a big hd tv. My wife was in heaven at the outlets. She shopped for everything she needed and in my opinion some things she didn't. It was so convenient. Don't even think of getting in your car, just walk out the back door of the hotel and you are in the middle of the outlets---great! The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and hot tub and we hung out in there for hours. It was quite an experience hanging out there while it was totally cold outside. The breakfast at the hotel is a buffet, but you can get a la carte items if you would like too. I went with the buffet because it has everything, is fresh and well presented--eggs benedict, pancakes, two types of eggs, make your own waffles...you get the point. Much nicer than the typical spartan breakfast at hotels today. We would definitely stay again. Friendly staff, great location and amenities.

Room Tip: Bring a bathing suit or buy one for a deal at the outlets because the outdoor pool and jacuzzi are w...
