“Couldn't stay here...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

Host was very nice and accommodating, but I didn't find the slanted floors, old musty smell, windows/doors that won't close desirable and comfortable after a long day of driving. I took the hit on one nights stay (Can't blame the host for charging me for one night as I carried out my luggage at 9pm) and high tailed it over to the Residence Inn and slept very comfortably.

Place was just not for me and my family. I love charm, I love old New England. I did not love this place.

“Great relaxed place to stay when visiting the White Mountains”

The Nereledge Inn offers excellent value, a prime location, and wonderful hosts. Our room was simple but pleasant. The furniture and decorations were not of the latest vintage, but they were not at all unpleasant. The bathroom was small but functional. The entire building was clean. In other words, don't expect a modern and gaudy building, but do expect to be comfortable. The hosts at Nereledge are extremely friendly and helpful, always happy to help you plan your day and offer insight into the various trails and other activities. This is a crucial factor for us when considering a B&B in a place that we don't want to spend much time researching - Nereledge was not at all a disappointment. The location is also excellent because it's close enough to town that you can walk to restaurants and shops; this is important because traffic can be an absolute nightmare and Nereledge is situated in such a way that you can avoid the southbound traffic on 16 that bottles up right at River Road when everyone is heading into town for dinner. if staying at Nereledge, you can avoid the traffic by turning from River Rd north onto 16 and going somewhere like Moat Mountain (returning after dinner when traffic has already died down) or by simply walking into town. The inn's River Rd location is also handy for getting around in general because you can easily shoot over to West Side Rd which is helpful for heading to trails and other sights.

“A quaint, unusual but lovely experience”

We wanted something different than a chain hotel and we got it. Steve was so helpful and accomodating you really felt he was proud of the area where he lives and wanted to show it off. Lovely beauty spots Diana's baths, Cathedral ledge
the Indian and the Thai for eating out, avoid outlet village boring ! but some nice shops on the main street.
Conway Scenic railway trip worth doing but be sure to book

“Nereledge is a so outdated that it becomes charming again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

The Nereledge Inn was built in the late 18th century as one of the earliest farmhouses in the area. The hotel is located on River Road, 400m from White Mountain Highway 302 in North Conway and close to Echo Lake State Park White Horse Cliff and Cathedral Ledge.

The Inn is not fancy, more home style. It is family owned and operated and a good breakfast is served. Steve, the owner is welcoming and very helpful. We had a room furnished in pre-WW2 style with a reasonable bed. Both room and bathroom were clean.

Parking is free next to the Inn. Nereledge Inn is a basic hotel with a guest area on the ground floor including TV, Internet-PC and library, a porch to hang out on, and a kitchen where guests can make tea and coffee.

Spent 3 nights, two adults with our 11 years old daughter. Steve the owner was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. He makes the best pancakes in the US!
We received a lovely and clean room and enjoyed the spacious guest area on the ground floor, highly recommended!
