“A charming inn - and excellent service too”

Like most other reviewers, our experience of the Inn at Crystal Lake was overwhelmingly positive. The breakfasts were delicious, as was the dinner we had one night. Our bedroom was very comfortable, well cared for but without sanitising the charm out of this traditional inn.

And there were so many added touches, such as a complimentary drink and cookies on arrival, a communal fridge for guests, plenty of reference materials in the common areas and a CD/video library. It really showed how committed the owners are to keeping their guests happy. We were!

“love the inn!!!”

I have to say that I really disagree with the August 22, 2005 review.
We thought that the Inn was very charming with a great staff. The common areas of the Inn are very inviting and comfortable. The food is fantastic, the village is quaint and romantic and you're only 5 miles from North Conway.

“Don't agree with August 22, 2005”

We strongly dissagree with the August 22, 2005 review. We recently stayed there with our son in a very large two room suite and absolutely loved our stay. Our room was gorgeous! Comfortable bed, wonderful linens... and although our bathroom had a drop ceiling, it was very cleverly painted (it gave me a great idea for my own house!!). It was exactly what we were looking for: cozy and comfortable in a picture-perfect little village. I'll definitely agree with the other review that the breakfasts were very yummy... but the dinner was INCREDIBLE - we ate there every night. They have both a pub and a more formal dining room, so there was something for everyone!!

“Don't let the picture on-line deceive you!!”

From the picture on line the Inn looks absolutely beautiful, it drew me in. The public areas are very nice, cozy and charming as is the outside of the Inn. The breakfast was yummy and the lake was very nice. Unfortunately, the guestrooms leave a lot to be desired, from the old carpeting, to the scary drop ceiling in the bathroom, to the noisy window A/C unit. Some updating is definitely needed here- to make this as charming as the rest of building. Altough the rooms were clean, there was not that charming B&B feeling I thought I would get- the best word to describe the rooms is tired- Sorry.

“Stop Here - Need not go any further”

The Inn at Crystal Lake provides a traditional bed and breakfast atmosphere with much more. Breakfasts at the Inn are real hearty consisting of omelets, pancakes, french toast or quiche with fruit... you will never leave this inn hungry! The Inn offers full menus for their dining room and pub. Trevor is the best chef ever. It was like dining at the Ritz! Tim makes everyone feel like family. As soon as you enter the Inn the hospitality warms and greets you. It is very difficult to say Good-bye. Bobby's home made muffins wants you to write home to Mom (Or Gram) to say you never made them like this! After dinner you can relax in their library or living room. There is so much to choose from, cds, books, movies.

Thank you Bobby, Tim and Trevor for a most enjoyable visit. We'll be back!
