We spent two nights in Oxen Yoke with our four children. First with some doubt in mind as we normally stay in slightly "upper class" hotels but the experience proved to be excellent! The rooms were clean and spacy and the personnel exceptionally friendly, assisting with everything, many thanks! Also the pool was in very frequent use by our boys. Only slight minus is the noise air conditioning makes, during our stay we were able to switch it off as the nights were not too hot. We will surely stay in Oxen Yoke again!

We stayed at the Oxen Yoke Motel in North Conway for two nights. The motel is a short walk to the center of North Conway and the Scenic Railroad. The room was somewhat outdated in decor but it was clean and plenty big enough for my family of four. The room had a slight odor (perhaps because they allow pets) but nothing that a little air fresher couldn't handle. The windows also open which was nice since it was cool outside we could get some nice fresh air. It was great to have a small fridge and microwave in the room. There is an outdoor pool. It was too cold during our visit to use it. We did use the indoor pool at the Eastern Slope Inn which the Oxen Yoke is part of. The Eastern Slope Inn is just a short drive from the Oxen Yoke. We spent most of the weekend at Storyland. We would love to have been able to do a little more within North Conway. We were within walking distances to shops and restaurants. The place was definitely a good value for the price. We could hear the traffic from our room but it wasn't that loud. The place itself was pretty quiet. We especially liked the call from the front desk to make sure the room was ok. That was a nice touch. We will stay there again.

This is actually the third time we've stayed at the Oxen Yoke. The first time my husband and I were alone. . .we agreed that, while the rooms were tiny, it was clean and convenient. We liked the look of the cottages on the property and the next two visits to North Conway with our 3 kids we have booked two rooms, or one cottage. This has given us the privacy and space that love without feeling that our kids are driving everyone around us nuts! Yes, the pool is cold. . .so what. . .it's invigorating. Yes, the bathroom is tiny.. .it's clean and useable. Yes, you have to walk or drive to the Eastern Slope for other services. . .so what? We LOVE being off the beaten path and being able to walk to town. We love that our kids can walk around the property or out onto the sidewalk without worrying about them getting run down with North Conway traffic. The main Inn at Eastern Slope is a little on the worn side, which used to bother us, but now we've started looking at it as an old friend who has seen more than it's fair share of hikers, skiers, lovers, children, tourists, and many more tromp through it's halls looking for what we all need. . .a place to park while we enjoy the greatness of the White Mountains. The staff has always been friendly and if you take half a second to truly engage with them, they'll give you great insider tips on the area. Skip the big hotels and the chain motels. Go with a quiet classic.

Have been going to No. Conway every year for many years now with a gang of friends to SHOP! Always stay here! Rooms are clean, quiet, affordable and adorable! I would recommend this to anyone as it very accomodating to a wide variety of people, and pets!
