This hotel is centrally located to all of the Nashua highways, and it has a 99 Restaurant attached, so it is very conveniently situated. We reserved 2 rooms for 4 days for family members for our daughter's wedding. What an embarrassment! We occupied 1 smoking room and 1 non-smoking room, but both rooms were very dingy, the kind of dinginess that comes from long-term failure to clean properly or renovate the rooms. The lobby and the front of the hotel are clean and attractive, but the rooms are downright scary. We went to Target and bought plug-in air fresheners immediately!
After entering both rooms, I pulled back the sheets to check for bedbugs -- no bedbugs, but the box springs had lots of human hairs on them, so obviously the covers of the box springs and the dust ruffles had not been removed or washed in a long time. Both rooms had repairs to the wallpaper where squares of wallpaper had been attached with an industrial stapler on one side, leaving 3 sides to flap around. One bathroom had mold on the ceiling, and the other bathroom had residual smears of glue, etc, where tile had been repaired.
On our first night, I looked up from our bed, and dust cobwebs that were caught in the popcorn ceiling were swaying overhead each time the AC turned on! When I turned down the bedcovers, I noticed a smear of red blood on the inside of the bedspread, so it obviously had not been washed before our arrival. The bottom fitted sheet had a cigarette burn hole in it. When I made my bed the next morning, I noticed that the lamp plug next to the bed had a cord so frayed that it was a fire hazard. The vent of the AC unit in one room was crusted with mold and dirt, and the sheer curtains over the window were stained yellow from lack of washing.
The glass exit door which led to the outside and to the restaurant was covered with dust and fingerprints. The mat inside the door was covered with crushed autumn leaves. During our 4-day stay, neither the door nor the mat were ever cleaned. It was so amusing to see an employee outside, stabbing leaves and trash with a spike to clean the parking lot; yet management never even thought to clean the doors or the mats!!
In passing, I should mention that the free breakfast nook was very nice, with fresh coffee, yogurt, and make-it-yourself waffles, and the computers with internet service were a nice convenience. Nevertheless, our wedding party complained about the filthy condition of the rooms and the fact that 2 of the 3 soda vending machines spaced throughout the hotel were out-of-order (the front desk knew of this problem and said that the machines were continually broken - they would not refund our money for sodas).
Run -- don't walk-- away from this hotel. There is no excuse for this kind of filthiness.
Room Tip: I don't think there are any good rooms.
