“Just ok, there are better options”

I stayed at the comfort inn because of the $15 savings over the best western conference center in the area. The week prior I was at the best western and drove past the comfort inn. The switch was a mistake. Although just off 293,there is no easy north entrance. I live out of hotels for work and noise normally does not bother me. This place is loud and the traffic is very noticeable. The only plus is the cleanliness of the hotel. The Internet has been an ongoing problem. I contacted the front desk and they gave me an 800 number to call. After an hour on the phone the Internet worked for 5 minutes before it failed again. There was another call to the 800 and no resolve was found. The third party rep told me:" this is a common problem at this location, sorry". I have four more days in the area that I will be spending at the best western.

“Front desk employees not attentive and didn't respond to complaint”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2011

Many employees were pleasant but, the women at the front desk didn't acknowledge you when we approached the desk (that was the norm), when we reported (3 times), our patio door had been compromised and wouldn't lock, we were told maintenence would check it-they never did, we went to Lowe's and bought a board to secure it ourselves. Rowdy guests arrived at 11 p.m. in the next room, after an hour of noise and them trying to open the ajoining room door, we called the front desk-no one answered, we had to get dressed and go down to the desk to report the problem. Breakfast offerings aren't consistant. I won't stay there again.

“not that comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2011

This hotel is ok for the value and does have airport transportation. However, the room we had was very cold. We had to run the heater all night because the cold air was coming in through the windows, and the room was cold when we arrived. The airport driver was fine, but he didn't speak english, so we weren't able to find out from him how to set up the return trip. I feel that the hotel staff could improve the service here by keeping the rooms heated and explaining to guests regarding the airport transfer.

“Cold and Cheap”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2011

Arrived at the airport for an interesting ride to the hotel in the van shuttle. The van was cold as ice and the driver was having a difficult time staying within the lanes on the highway.

The coldness, didn't stop there. This hotel is running on the "cheap". I arrived in the room only to find the heat wasn't turned on. It was so cold, I could see my breath (second time of the night). Everything in the room was cold to the touch. Including my bed, which took me awhile to fall asleep on the cold mattress. I immediately turned the heat on to the room to full blast. The room didn't warm up until the early morning (about 6 hours). In addition to the heat, I also turned on the iguana heat lamps in the bathroom. Yes those red lamps you may see at a buffet line to keep your food warm or to keep an iguana warm were in the bathroom. Classy.

The rooms are dimly lite. Only two spot lights illuminate the space. Good thing, because if I had good lighting, I would of had to stare at the outdated blankets. In addition, I would have gotten a better look at the pee stain located on the bottom of my mattress. Guess the solution was to just flip the mattress over to disguise the evidence.

It appears, the hotel attempted to remodel their rooms with dark paint, new desk, and night stands. However, it really looks like a half given effort. As I said earlier, it was done on the "cheap" Places like the hampton inn have had a successful remodel. This was more of a patch up, rather than a full on fix.

The breakfast (someone commented on this earlier) but once again, done on the "cheap". They had an extremely poor selection when I went down at 8am. They were out of muffins, pastries, and sausage. I wasn't in the mood for just-add-water eggs, so I stuck with the oatmeal.

The workout room was small and treadmill does skip at times, so be careful.

They do have a computer and printer. This was always taken up by a teenager watching youtube or searching facebook for hours on end. Wouldn't plan on getting any business work done here.

Only positives were the location to good food (applebees, subway, tai food) right across the street. They have a good tv selection, comfortable pillows, and large indoor pool. The DO heat the pool! Also, the woman at the front desk was really sweet and nice. Had cookies in the lobby in the evening.

Overall, I hope not stay at this comfort inn again. It was cold and cheap.

On a side note, I did happen to see a police car and someone in a vehicle in the hotel parking lot! Just thought I would add this, as someone noted crime in the parking lot earlier.

“This is a serious case of a hotel in decline. Dont use its park & fly.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2011

My wife and I have been staying at this comfort Inn on Queen City Ave. for 10 years, maybe longer. We have used it regularly for park & fly (3-4 times per year) flying from the Manchester airport. The past 2-3 stays, we noticed reduced offerings at the continental breakfast, drunken & rowdy guests, broken fixtures that we reported, smell of pot in the hallway. These should have been warnings to us. In Dec 2010 we stayed there on a park & fly to visit family for the holidays. We were asked to park our car in the back row of the parking lot (NOT the conference center lot where we used to park it). We had qualms -- this parking lot is not lighted. We returned to find the car had been been broken into, lights left on so that the battery was dead, and vandalized (smashed window, glass everywhere inside the car). The hotel management was unaware of it. They had no surveillance cameras. 2 drunks in one of the hotel rooms were harassing my wife from their window with catcalls when she went back to check on something in the car. BE AWARE: NH city police will not come to the location for "criminal mischief" calls -- told us to come to the station to make a report. The station is not well lit or easy to find, and this delayed our already delayed return home.
