“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I recently stayed due to weather issues. The staff was wonderful. Carrisa at the Front Desk on 1/27/12 went out of her way to assist me. I was so greatful for her support and help during this time. I had one issue, somehow my room number was on a 4:00am shuttle list and I got a call. ugh. I wan't scheduled until 6:30am. As you could imagine, I wasn't very happy. I went to the front desk and checkout and Matthew was so nice. He appologized up and down and was genuine. He went out of his way to make this situation turned around. I would stay at this property again.

Thank you for your review of the Holiday Inn Manchester Airport! I am most sorry to hear of the mix-up that resulted in a much too early & unexpected wake-up call. It is always our true intention to provide each of our services accurately, and I wish for you to know that we will continue or efforts to ensure future inaccuracies do not continue to happen into the future. Thank you for acknowledging two of our valued associates on their efforts throughout your stay and the sincerity behind them. It will be my pleasure to commend them on the great service they provided! I hope that upon a future stay to the Manchester area, we will again have the honor of being your host. Thank you again!

“Acceptable, nothing special”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Best features: low cost, pleasant front desk staff and yummy cookies in the afternoon. Other than that, nothing special about this hotel. That said, I was there just one night for a nearby celebration and it was okay.

Room Tip: Friends were put on the ground floor (I was on the second floor); they did not like their location.

I have a personal issue going on that forced me out of my apartment and Jade, and matthew esp (and the staff) have been absolutely wonderful. Would suggest this too anyone for any lodging or vacation stays.
The beds, the rooms, the Airport Diner, and esp the staff really make it feel like home.
Thank you to all you guys for what you have helped with you all ROCK!!!

“You want 5 star customer service?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

I have never experienced the quality of professionalism & customer service like that of the Manchester Airport Holiday Inn. On my first stay, I was actually picked up at the airport by the General Manager Jade. This was due to an employee out sick, so Jade rolled up her sleeves, jumped into the shuttle van to greet my 2 year old twin boys and me at the airport. Kudos to Jade. Then after check-in, I realized it was going to be a tight fit for 2 cribs in the room, I spoke to Carissa at the front desk to explain my situation. About 20 minutes later, Carissa came to the next door Diner, as we were eating dinner, she handed me a new room key and told me she had upgraded us to a suite, so we would have a bit more room. Well, it turned out to be more than the typical hotel suite, it was more along the lines of a beautiful one bedroom apt. I have never experienced the "beyond my expectations" at hotel of this kind, nor at any other hotel period!

We are now back for our second visit and it just keeps getting better. I actually feel at home here. Every time my boys and I walk into the lobby, there's Amanda behind the lobby counter, with that warm, caring smile, and she has the best places for dinner, just stop by and ask her.

We went for a swim last night in the indoor pool, Marty asked if the water needed a little warming up, we said yes, within 15 minutes my twins were able to swim & enjoy the warmer pool water. Incredible!

I have the choice of staying in a furnished apt for a few months, but I opted to stay right here at this hotel. I feel at home here, along with my twin boys.

Come and feel the experience of the staff and the nice atmosphere this hotel has to offer.

Room Tip: All rooms are great, but I'm a light sleeper, so if you are too, ask for a room not facing Brown...

We cannot thank you enough for sharing a few of the wonderful experiences you’ve had throughout the duration of your most recent stays! Your comments have provided our current and future guests a clear vision of the pride our associates take in offering a variety of comfortable and convenient amenities! It is the intention of all Management and associates to share in the responsibilities involved in taking the best care of our guests, and we’re excited to know it resulted in such a memorable 1st impression! Our beautiful two-room suites are so well suited for families, and we’re thrilled to know that not only did the complimentary upgrade provide a bit more living space, but also created a ‘home away from home’ environment for you and your boys.

It has been our absolute pleasure to have you at here at The Holiday Inn Manchester Airport. Our staff is genuinely happy to have you here with us.

“Not Impressed by this Holiday Inn - Rooms Outdated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Based on previous reviews and an early morning flight out of MHT airport, I booked here for one overnight. First impression of the lobby and exterior was positive - updated, renovated and nice. That unfortunately was the last good impression I had of this property.

I found the rooms to be very outdated, even by Holiday Inn standards. As I exited the elevator onto the 4th floor I noticed a funny odor in the hallway which continued all the way down to the room. It wasn't smoke or anything necessarily foul, but more like an old, musty smell you might get from your aunt's house or something. Weird.

The room furniture is so old that it probably came from a thrift store, and the sofa bed was so dusty we didn't dare even sit on it. You can tell from the walls and floorboards that this is an old property. The only modern things in the room was the flat screen TV and the shower/toilet room - rest of it, circa 1970 or 80-something. Bed was OK but the headboard was as old as the rest of the decor and not as comfortable as I'm used to at newer Holiday Inns.

The front desk wasn't impressive either. Service was fine and polite, but there was only 1 young college-aged woman on duty, not in any manner of professional dress and was very harried from being alone. There was a helpful maintenance worker who helped fixed the printer in the business center however. Parking was a pain as the hotel didn't seem that busy but the lot was still almost full.

Personally, I wouldn't stay here again but I understand the convenience factor to MHT - but there are other, better choices. Hotel is set well off I-293 so there was no noticeable traffic noise and there are gas stations across the street if you need to fill up your rental car, plus a Dunkin Donuts. I didn't get to eat at the diner but it was quite busy.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the rear of the property so you don't get any noise off of Brown Ave.

I thank you for taking the time to share with us your honest feedback regarding your recent stay here at the Holiday Inn Manchester. I wish to relay to you the disappointment I feel over the poor impression the hotel has left on you. Our hotel and staff takes much pride in having won the Intercontinental Hotels Group ‘Quality of Excellence’ award, a representation of only the best in product quality, hotel operation, and customer satisfaction among Holiday Inn’s located within the New England region. It has always and will continue to be our approach to successfully deliver comfortable, clean, friendly, and convenient service to each and every one of our hotel guests to make for the most pleasant and memorable of experiences. On Thursday, January 29th the 4th floor hallway carpet was professionally cleaned by use of various cleaning agents. I can speak personally on behalf of an odor that had resonated for some time as the carpets had dried, and I apologize that the odor had led to a negative first impression regarding the hotel’s cleanliness standards. In addition, I appreciate the opportunity to share your service experience with our staff. We continuously try and uncover ways to improve on our interactions with our guests, and your feedback certainly allows us that opportunity. Lastly, I am so excited to share with you the positive change coming to the Manchester Holiday Inn in 2012! It is our best intention to continue to modernize the hotel to the new look and feel of the newly built and redesigned Holiday Inn’s, and in doing so nearly $500,000 will be spent in updates within each of our 96 guest rooms, and public spaces. The updates will include brand new hallway & guest room carpet, newly designed bathrooms, an accent wall, new headboards, drapes, couches, chairs, and lamps. The completion of this renovation is scheduled for the end of 2012, and I am so very hopeful that you would consider a second visit to the property to experience the rejuvenated look and feel of the hotel property! Thank you again for your feedback, as well as the opportunity to share with you some exciting news surrounding our Holiday Inn! We wish you only the best in 2012.
