This roadside motel was great value, friendly, and spotlessly clean. Warm, welcoming. Ask Jim for recommendations for places to eat. Would stay again!

We stayed three nights in early October when the weather had turned really cold. We were in cottage no 3. The cottage was really clean and Jim the owner could't have been more welcoming. Heating in the cottage was effective and we were never cold. No windows in the cottage apart from the large patio door entrance. No really a problem and I believe Jim is going to address this over the winter. Loved the towelling animals. Never seen that before. Cottages are set back from the road around a large grass area which gives a nice spacious feel. Well positioned for all of the main attractions esp Franconia Notch. Recommend the Gipsy Cafe in Lincoln for dinner. We ended up there all three nights. Great place to stay. We will use again if in the White mountains

I booked my stay well in advance because of other reviews I had read. When we pulled in to the motel office my husband looked less then thrilled to be staying at a road side motel and said so. After checking in and chatting a little with Jim we entered our motel room and my husband was actually impressed with how nice and clean this "roadside" motel was. It might look a little dated but it was roomy, clean and Jim is a very friendly nice guy. We only slept there for one night so I can't comment on anymore than that. I slept good and did not notice any traffic noise but than again we arrived late and left early in the morning.

My husband, son and I stayed here 10/14 - 10/16 in Cabin #3. Jim was great at check in. It had been raining for a few days but he had hopes of starting a fire the next night for everyone to roast marshmallows. The cabin was very very clean and cozy. As my son is still in a pac n play it was an ok size for the three of us, but the cabin would have been the perfect size for just two. (I had called prior to making the reservation to see if the cabin would be big enough and they were very honest about the size so there were no surprises) the stream behind the cabins was nice as well. My husband loved the fact that coffee was available for him at all times. For a nice, clean stay at a reasonable price this is definitely the place to go!!
