The place hasn’t been renovated since the sixties. Cracked sink, moldy bathtub, threadbare towels and dirty shower curtains.

The carpet hasn’t been washed in years, the mattress cover had hair on it, and two pillows were yellowed and smelled of sweat. Disgusting!

The outside windows were stuck open and it was quite cold in the cabin. There was mold on the bottom of a wall!

The only nice thing about this place is the river that runs behind it. Yet, even that idyllic spot is neglected.

I found this motel on line and checked with the Trip Advisor for recommendations. I booked my room and found it very clean and the owners are very hospitable and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are very quaint and comfortable. The Pemigawasset River right behind the motel just adds a nice touch to the motel..The sound of the river makes relaxing and sleeping that much better. The rates of the rooms are great!! I can afford to come up here a couple of times a year. What a great find..

i was totally disgusted when we arrived i had a bad feeling from the office, it needed cleaning in a bad way and the curtain that hung between the living quarters and office was gross. our room smelled musty/mold, there was mold on the mini blinds in the bathroom, the tile was falling off the walls in the bathroom, all the wall paper was all curling off the walls, the heat didn't work and there was a space heater that worried me, the bathroom door knob was falling off and we didn't dare close it all the way the tub didn't drain good so when you took a shower you were standing in three inches of water. the place was not clean. we checked for bed bugs first thing (did not find anything or we would not have stayed) i actually asked to see another unit but we decided they were all the same. the picture looks so cute but it was very misleading. the fellow who worked there said his uncle owned the place, he tried to be accommodating but it is very clear no money has been put into the place in a long time. We decided after our stay there we would rather not make reservations but check out a motel / hotel before checking in.

rented 4 rooms in the motel section for four couples traveling together. I can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. The eave troughs needed cleaning. Water dripped over the edge soaking us as we hauled stuff into the rooms. One of the screen doors was sprung, hanging open all the time. The carpets were very shop worn. All fixtures and furniture were old. There was a funny smell. the wall paper was peeling off the walls. The heater had a note on scrawled with a magic marker saying DO NOT USE!!! There was a cheap space heater in its place. The sheets and pillow cases were clean but well used. There was grime in the corners of the bathroom. The temperature of the shower water changed from hot to cold every few seconds. Even the sign along the road was in need of repair.
