We were late trying to get a place to stay for Bike Week 2007.
Weren't expecting much of a place when we booked at Birch Knoll, being one of a few available at the time. Upon arrival we were so surprised to find this place to be very pleasing, close to Weirs beach, clean, with a beach across the street, heated outside pool, rec room, ice machine, pad for bike kick stand, Grills, benches all around decks, and great maid service. Had most all the comforts of home and the people were so friendly. While we were there we had already talked about staying there again soon. Told all our friends about this place. This is one of Laconia"s best kept secrets.

We stayed at Birch Knoll for a long weekend last summer. The hotel was great for the price. It was well kept, and the rooms were clean. There was access to a grill and rec room, which we used one night. We stocked up the local grocery store and took all the stuff back and had a cookout. There were places to eat outside, so we did not have to mess up our room. The owner on duty was extremely nice and helpful. Anything we needed or thought of, he assisted us. The outdoor pool was kept warm because it was covered most of the time it was not in use. We seemed to be the only ones enjoying it.

The location is perfect. Although a legnthy walk, the drive to weirs beach (where the drive through, waterpark, beach, arcades and little shops are) was less than five minutes. This was a perfect little gem of a hotel. We will be back.

My wife and I have been staying at the Birch Knoll Motel each summer for about five years now. This is a family owned and run business that really goes the extra mile to make their guests feel comfortable. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the service is friendly. Each room has a refrigerator and TV and there is a game room with barbeque's available for family gatherings. It is located close to Wiers beach and shopping. One caveat, book early during Bike Week and the Nascar Races.

We take one trip a year to this area. This motel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The property is located on the edge of the lake, offering a beautiful view. The heated pool and outdoor grill area make for an excellent place to wind down at the end of the day.

The rooms are modern, well-kept and the service is exceptional. This is a great place for families and couples, or the occasional pass-thru visitor.
