We stayed at this property as a family trip. Although we stayed in a suite, there were lots of accomodation options to choose from. The suite had everything we needed for cooking and we had a charcoal grill down on the beach to use. The suite had 2 bedrooms with very comfortable queen size beds and a pull out sofa bed. We used the beach and sun deck a lot. There were not a lot of units rented, so we were on the beach alone most times. The weeks between bike week and early July tend to be slower.

I would highly, highly recommend Proctor's. Fred is very accomodating and let us look at other cottages for next summer. They are a litte bit more rustic than the suites, but much closer to the beach. See you next June!

I've stayed at Proctors a few times over the past 7 years, and I have loved it every time! Fred and Maureen could not be nicer people, and they remember their guests by name! The cottages and hotel are clean and updated.
The beach area is perfect for young kids or adults.
Proctors is a very family friendly place and I plan to go back there again and again!

I first knew of Proctor's back in the early 90's when we stayed in their upstairs suite with a bunch of college friends. We had a great time then.

Last week, while visiting Weirs Beach, we decided to check out Proctor's again (in hopes of booking a future visit). The new owners took over about 9 years ago. I asked to see several units in hopes of renting next year, 2011. Fred (one of the owners, husband/wife team) could not have been nicer. The reviews that speak of him are very true. He was so nice. I saw 5 units total; 3 cottages and 2 suites. He was very knowledgeable about which would have wi-fi and which would not due to the distance from the main office. (need to keep connected to work). After visiting the requested units, we have decided to come back next June, 2011 and stay here.

Procotor's has been completely remodeled with the new ownership. The units (even the cottages) are very modern and clean. The beach was VERY inviting.

Even though we didn't actually stay here yet, I can just tell that this will be a great place to stay. I would recommend it and will write my review next June after we stay at Procotor's.

I loved this place! It was right on the water and perfect for my 3 year old son and niece to play. The cottage had almost all the conveniences of home. We only spent a few days and I was sad to leave. Such a relaxing place and yet the Weirs pier is right around the corner. So much to do and see. Can't wait to come back!
