My Husband and I stayed at the NASWA resort in June for a wedding. We were lucky enough that most people attending the wedding were also staying at the resort, which made our weekend even more fun. We were blessed with bright sunny weather, although just cold enough that we didn’t go swimming. Our room was located in the Motel Terrace which is located on the lake side of the resort.. I liked staying there because we were able to park the car right in front of the room, which made unloading our luggage very easy. Our room was a little outdated and could use a makeover, but it was clean and quiet. I am used to sleeping on a firm mattress, so I thought that the mattresses in the room were a little saggy. There was plenty of room for our luggage and my husbands video equipment he needed for the wedding. There was a little patio just outside the door with two chairs overlooking the parking lot. Down the end of the Hall from our room there was an ice vending machine and a snack machine, so you could grab some midnight snacks. Our friends who were also staying at the resort, were staying at a suite at the inn across the road. Their suite was the size of a 3 bedroom condo, and more updated compared to our motel room. The only downside to where they were staying across the road was the noise of the motorcycles going up and down the road. Which you could hear from inside of their suite. We were lucky enough that we didn’t hear any of the noise coming from the road. The night before the wedding everyone got together for a barbecue on the beach catered by the Naswa resort. We had a nice time sitting on the shore and the food was great. The Staff at the Naswa resort were always happy to help with whatever was needed. The Beach Area was always clean and raked every morning. The width of the sandy beach from waters edge to the buildings seemed a little short, which is probably a problem in the summer when everyone wants to go swimming. I could see how it might get crowded. We enjoyed early morning strolls along the waters edge and would have liked to take out a paddle boat which is offered to the guests free of charge, but we were too busy with the wedding to have time. The Naswa is located just minutes away from weirs beach, where the wedding took place. Our last day at the Naswa we had breakfast at the Naswa Restaurant. We definitely didn’t leave hungry. We both ordered the Caribbean Cinnamon French Toast with sauteed Bananas in Dark Caribbean Rum with Toasted Coconut and Whipped Cream. It was really good. The Resort wasn’t too crowded. Enough people were there that it made the nights lively, but not overly noisy that you couldn’t find peace and quiet away from the scene. I booked my stay at the NASWA resort, based on most of the reviews on this site. As long as the room was clean and quiet, I didn’t mind overlooking the outdated decor. I would stay there again, Maybe when its a little warmer so I could enjoy the water. I recommend staying on the lake side of the resort.
