This Inn Has Great Potential and in its day must have been very special but time and economics has taken it's toll. The rooms are very worn,clean and COLD with no ability to regulate temperature. The water is brown, the fireplaces exist but rare is a fire found or offerred..no cozy character here.the people are nice and the food is good...but for the price (200) range, there are many places that offer much much more.It really was quite sad to see the disrepair and great need that abounded in this INN.Dust the furniture light the fires and provide heat... coziness can make up for shabbiness...but unfortunately they do not understand this at the DANA PLACE INN

The Dana Place Inn is pretty and comfortable. We ended up there as part of a package that included four tickets to the Polar Express experience. There were some oddities about the place that were inconsistent with the price (roughly $200/night). The old fashioned key we were given upon arrival did not work, necessitating a trudge back to the main lodge. We weren't even certain we had the correct room, as there was no number on the door. There was no house phone in the room to contact the desk, nor a clock, therefore no way to set an alarm or get a wake-up call. The dining room is very nice, but we were restricted to the "pub menu" the evening we arrived, which offered little for children. The "Kobe sliders" were half-dollar sized, overcooked ground beef (if it's incinerated, what difference does it make how good the beef is?!) on overly large, undistinguished, soft rolls. The main menu looked good, but we were afraid to risk it based on our first night and ate at a very nice restaurant in North Conway.

The hotel staff were very nice, and the property quaint and pretty, but we would not be likely to return based on this experience.

A perfect place to spend a very affordable getaway winter weekend! We enjoy being active and the cross country skiing was great! The indoor pool and hot tub were also very nice. After our busy days we also enjoyed the lovely lady who played piano followed by a wonderful meal! The staff were very friendly and helpful! Our rooms were simply decorated and clean and cozy. Breakfast each day was also very good. A great New England homey feel to this property! We all truly enjoyed our trip to the Dana Place Inn and are looking forward to our second excursion this winter!

We stayed at the Dana Inn last winter for a weekend and we were very happy with the value for the money. The Inn is older, but our room was clean and comfortable. The "Nordic ski package" was a great deal. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts and had a nice dinner there as well. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating (particularity Robin). We also really enjoyed the live piano music by Lorraine during the"happy hour" and dinner. We just reserved to go again this winter and can't wait.
