“Not again”

The room was dirty. The stove top had crumbs all over. When we were leaving I always check under and behind everythig to make sure we didn't forget anything. There were dirty plates under the bed (obviously not from us), garbage behind the nightstands and under them. The bed was clean and bathroom was kept up ok. Except the drains were clogged and by the middle of the shower you were standing in inches of water. The staff was friendly. The beach was a five min walk. There isn't much for food right around it. You had to walk 5-10 min anytime you wanted something. If it was a cleaner room I would have rated it much better.

“Adequate”

This was the second year we have stayed at the Sea Spiral. We like that it is away from all the noise and crowds, but at the same time close to the beach (about a 5 minute walk). The room was clean, and we appreciated the kitchenette (two burner stove, refrigerator, full sized microwave and small sink). The bathroom is small but functional. The water pressure in the shower is poor. The first night we were there, the internet and phones were not working. This was a big issue last year as well. The young girl in the office called Comcast, and let us know that the problem would be corrected in the morning. She offered that we could access the internet at their sister facility the Kentwood if we needed to, but this wasn't necessary. The internet was fixed the next day, however the signal does drop intermittentantly. The beds were comfortable, and there wasn't much noise, although the walls are "thin". There was no ice bucket in the room, or hangars in the closet, but the office provided them when asked. There was also no iron or hair dryer in the room. I think at the very least a hair dryer should be installed in the bathroom. This facility could use some remodeling on the outside. We were on the second floor, above the office, and when you walk on the deck to get to your room, you would swear you are going to fall right through. The deck is very spongy feeling, and the carpeting covering it has moss growing on it. The lock on the sliding door is tricky to access with your key. There was no lighting on the first set of stairs that lead to the second deck, and that made navigating the stairs a bit scary at night. I also noticed that the paint in the office is peeling, so it doesn't make a great first impression. Overall though, this place has a great location if you're looking for quiet convenience. The housekeepers do a very good job. We would consider staying there again next year.

Room Tip: Bring dishes, pans, paper towel, dish soap etc

“Ew Don't waste your money”

Horrible! Phone, cable, and internet were not working! For $200 a night I would not expext this. When we told the "manager", all she did was yell at us and tell us we were wrong and did not care. In addition we had 2 broken beds. To boot, it is a 15 minute walk to get to the beach. Not to mention, there was sand in our beds. I warn anyone to never spend their money at this dump! The "security boy" at night does not speak english!! What kind of security do you call that? I dare anyone to stay there and decide for yourselves.

“A pleasant surprise”

We weren't sure what to expect from the Sea Spiral Suites, as the reviews we read online were mixed. We found the hotel very clean, comfortable & quiet. We reserved a unit with 2 bedrooms as we were traveling with our daughter and son-in-law. There was plenty of room for the four of us and we found the unit to be soundproof not only from neighboring units but between the 2 sleeping rooms. There was a tiny kitchenette, but no utensils or plates. You just have to get them from the front desk (apparently people walk off with these things), and the staff is happy to provide them. You do have to walk a bit to the beach, maybe five minutes. And it's about a 15 minutes brisk walk to the Casino. We would certainly stay there again!
