“Second wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We stayed two nights at Adair on their New Year's package, which we had done 2 years ago. The setting is superb and Ilya and Brad are wonderful and charming innkeepers. Dinner and breakfast are terrific and the staff friendly. There are walking paths on the grounds and either a little or a lot to do nearby. The Adair is a classic New England inn. It's just a romantic and relaxing getaway - highly recommended.

Room Tip: The fireplaced room overlooking the back meadow is a good bet.

It was our pleasure having you as our guests for the New Year's festivities. It wouldn't have been the same without you and many other of our returning guests. Our staff is very proud to receive your compliments and the Adair "family" is already looking forward to welcoming you both again. Ilja and Brad

“Lovely innkeepers with attention to detail!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

My husband surprised me with an anniversary overnight at this lovely early 20th century inn. Our hosts met us at the door, took our luggage to our room, gave us a personal tour of the the historic inn and invited us to afternoon tea. When we entered our room there was soft music playing, a lovely anniversary card on the bed and a fire warming the room.

With 2 fireplaces, lots of comfortable seating, a pool table and various games and puzzles available in the inn, there were lots of ways to wind down and relax in the beautiful setting.

This inn also has a small dining room that is open to the public. The menu offers a nice variety and the dinners were attractively presented as well as delicious. I found the salad greens, in particular, to be very fresh and tender, which is no small feat in the winter of rural, northern New Hampshire.

Breakfast included their signature popover, lovely fruit and a heavenly apple torte, all beautifully presented.

Ilya and Brad are perfect hosts... welcoming, interesting and attentive to detail. We very much enjoyed our stay and dream of returning.

“The quintessential New England bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Adair Country Inn for a weekend. Ilya and Brad, the innkeepers, are the perfect hosts. No detail is too small. Everything is done to perfection! Breakfast and dinner were gourmet. We highly recommend the Adair Inn for anyone seeking a romantic and/or relaxing stay. It was exceptional weekend retreat!

“A Beatiful (and beautifully run) retreat in the woods of New Hampshire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We've had two one-night stays at Adair Country Inn -- one in September and one in December, and had a great experience both times. The grounds and inn are beautifully maintained, and the innkeepers (Ilya and Brad) are the perfect hosts.

Breakfasts are truly delicious, and the signature popovers live up to their reputation. Dinners at the inn were very good as well.

"Value" is slightly above average; the typically offered room and dinner prices are in line with expectations for a place this nice. We used a Groupon offer, which included room, Breakfast AND dinner at the Inn, and this improved the value substantially.

I'd recommend Adair for a two-night stay minimum, using the setting as a relaxing retreat for a full day. In wintertime, it's a great base for getting in a few hours of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Downhill skiing is close by (Loon is 30 min away and Cannon is just 15 min), though with a relaxed Adair breakfast you probably won't hit the slopes until 10am.

Overall, Adair is a charming, relaxing vacation destination!
