Number 1 complaint service service service, the employees are rude and just have this aura that life in Winnemucca is not worth living. Rooms are way to outdated the tv was a joke and the restrooms were inexcusable. Bad mangement or owners or something used to have a good time down here about 8 years ago, never again what a depressing place.

Winners Hotel/Casino is a decent place where you can get a room for a very good price--usually even at the last minute. The first time I was given a queen room up the stairs. It was clean enough but not big and not fancy. The bathroom was very old with dirt in all the cracks of the floor/etc. I ate the weekend buffet breakfast and watched one of the employees (older guy with gray beard) actually pick up a bear claw and eat it as he was walking back to the kitchen. When I told someone they seemed to shrug it off. The food was only decent anyway. By the way the wireless internet didn't work except in the bathroom.
The next time I stayed in the motel across the street. It seemed like an old run down Travelodge that couldn't meet their standards. The room was very time worn although mostly clean. The bed was like a rock which gave me a place to put my computer. Their wireless internet worked most of the time there.
Overall, I would not mind staying again for the price (about 40-60% less than anywhere else in town) but would not bring my wife. She wouldn't put up with the run down atmosphere like I would.

I have stayed at this property twice in the last 6 months...and it only gets worse. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.They claim they have Wi-Fi, if you are in a part of the hotel that gets it...and according to the clerk it works some of the time. It never did for me. The bed was lower on one side than the other, and even became worse when you laid down. You almost had to hold onto the bed to keep from rolling off of it. Was awakened out of a restless sleep at 8:00 AM by the maid at the door wanting to know if I wanted fresh towels...Then left them a couple of hours later on my unmade bed. Never cleaned the bathroom, made the bed, emptied the trash or cleaned the mold off the shower walls. When I asked the manager about the service, she claimed they all went home and would try and remind them tomorrow. Heater/air conditioner window unit had no working termostat. Either you turned on the heat, or left it off. Any time I tried to explain a problem to the desk clerk, all I got was a blank stare, and a " I will see what I can do" but never heard anything. Never again will you catch me there.

Not dirty but unless you like sleeping on a pizza box I would look for the Red Lion
