The night clerk was more than pleasant and gracious when I went in to check on availability and cost. The room was a queen at about $44. (little did I realize I could have stayed at a brand new glitzy casino/hotel for the same price.
The room was actually dirty. Behind toilet, next to the tub; behind the bedside tables; under the desk. Light outlet under desk did not work, so that light didn't work. Then in the morning I opened the drapes to the very lovely little garden outside --- BUT, who could see it??? The windows were filthy.
Told morning clerk of the problems. He was more than anxious to get it reported so that the items could be corrected - things needed to be right on his shift, said he.
Emailed the corporate franchise headquarters - received rapid response from them; however, the owner of the franchised hotel has never bothered to respond to the message which corporate sent on to them. Obviously they have other fish to fry rather than tend to this property. So, my advice: If they aren't interested and on site to see what is up -- you don't need to be going there either.
