This was a last minute stay on New Year's Eve, near the end of a holiday road trip. Really quite surprised at the price, that it wasn't inflated due to the holiday. Room was excellent - with modern, solid wood furniture, not the usual wobbly chain hotel stuff (ok, the fake fireplace was an interesting touch, but fun, nevertheless), and lots of space. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was not lacking in amenities. Gotta love the huge book of things to do around the area - too bad we didn't have time to try some out. We paid more for less at other small towns on our trip, so this place really stood out. The restaurant at the Mizpah across the street was great, too, as was their NY celebration. Was made to feel welcome at both places. Definitely will stay again if we travel that way.

This was our second stay at the Jim Butler Motel. The service is friendly and the rooms are clean, warm, and comfortable. The motel is in the center of town, which makes it easy to get to the few places you might want to go to in Tonopah, like Whitney's Bookshelf.

This was our second year to stay at Jim Butlers, for the price, you cannot beat this place. The place is old but the rooms are done up better than what you might think just pulling up to the place. The beds are firm but comfortable. There is a small flat screen TV and pretty decent WiFi. All and all you cannot beat the pace for price.

We have stayed at Jim Butler one night on our Nevada road trip. After a friendly greeting we have been asigned room 28. The room was clean,spacious but very dated. The main problem was the cigarette smell. I believe the non-smoking rooms are more pleasant. The owners made a great effort to provide everyone with a fantastic array of information from sight seeing options and shopping spots to the history of the town in form of a large binder placed on the tables in all room.
